I have an iPhone 4 and an Android. I used one of those micro sim adapters and the adapter got stuck in the sim tray and it broke my Android phone . . . Those adapters are way thicker than the regular sim card!

plus, you can just use scissors to cut away excess plastic (and connectors)

just tried with "over sized connectors" -sim card and works fine with iphone4

MicroSIM — it is the same as a normal SIM Card, but without the surrounding plastic. The contact-area of this SIM Card is the same as the one on a standard SIM.

You can cut your sim accurately with microsim cutter, and after that you can also use this microsim with your old phone by using microsim adapter. Make sure that adapter was made in Germany.

I bought both devices from microsim-solutions(.)com and very happy with it.

@THE1FBI a carrier unlocked iPhone is an iPhone that is unlocked to all GSM carriers across the globe. a factory unlocked iPhone is an iPhone that has been unlocked by (presumably) Apple and is ready for use without SIM-card and there will be most likely be an simlock. You'll have to connect it to iTunes and you'll be able to use it, but only with the carriers Apple approves (in the USA is that AT&T).

OR, there'll probably be a jailbreak soon, so you could just do that. ahaha.
