@Italiks most people do 3 sets of 10. if your weaker start otu with 2 sets of 8. and after a week do 2 sets of 10. then work up to 3 sets of 10. perform 3 workouts in a row, so do it like so workout 1 - 10 -1 set workout 2 - 10 -1 set workout 3 - 10 - 1 set start over... then do work out 4. work out 5, work out 6 start over etc...
yea i would def stay away from any kind of workout that would put pressure on your knees until your growing pains are over and the ligament is fully reattached to the bone

if your gunna be doing workouts like that, make sure you keep your posture resistance... that means dont lock your elbows or any joints.
