I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I took it to heart what you said. I've been learning alot about the muslim faith these past months as well as answering some of my questions i had about it. I guess one of my big questions was why muslims seemed to dislike americans so much. so i dived into my own culture in a sense, with a islamic point of view, and i found that many muslims don't dislike us all that much, lol.
i wouldn't blame anybody for their thoughts towards the american culture. i have learned alot yallaa, and i thank you for that, but still i know through the Spirit of God that Jesus did exist as God Himself. I don't understand the trinity, but I know that God doesn't judge based on a system of works alone, but by faith. Abraham of the old testament was blessed 29 years before he recieved circumcision because of the faith God gave him.
i've learned that there is but one thing that separates Christianity from other religions, and that is the act of God reaching down to us, because let's face it...we're hopeless, lol. we sin everyday, knowingly or unknowingly, so we can never hope to please God by any means. so if our deeds can never accomplish eternal life, then what can?! i'm convinced that Jesus was God's way of reaching down to us.

I never knew he actually converted to Catholicism and then became a priest. He used to just be a hippie with a somewhat new-age outlook on life. I can't believe he put the reefer down, converted to Catholicism and became a priest in such a short period. They usually don't ordain priests this fast, and make sure their faith is strong before doing so, especially for new converts. Now he's converting to Islam? That's a far cry from a peace loving, pot smoking hippie!

Islam is a very peaceful religion; go look into it sometime. Second, Islam gives women opportunities that no other religion can offer. The reason women cover up is so that men won't see them as mere objects. It allows women to be free, to be recognized for their achievements rather than their gender.

stop quoting Quran out of context. read some basic books on islam first (know about their beliefs and practices) then find some practicing muslims to explain the Quran to you. you have to be an intelligent person to really understand this book. and today there are no islamic nations, only stooges controlled by the west that sells out their own people and nation for wealth, and oppresses their own, hopefull one day that may change as more muslims start practicing.

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I took it to heart what you said. I've been learning alot about the muslim faith these past months as well as answering some of my questions i had about it. I guess one of my big questions was why muslims seemed to dislike americans so much. so i dived into my own culture in a sense, with a islamic point of view, and i found that many muslims don't dislike us all that much, lol.

still, the fact of the matter is the dislike some muslims hold should be much worse towards the culture i've been studying.
the typical american christian is mostly run by his own desires, and many of those desires have infiltrated the church.
we have television shows that practically sell sex and legislature that is going towards the legalization of drugs.

i wouldn't blame anybody for their thoughts towards the american culture. i have learned alot yallaa, and i thank you for that, but still i know through the Spirit of God that Jesus did exist as God Himself. I don't understand the trinity, but I know that God doesn't judge based on a system of works alone, but by faith. Abraham of the old testament was blessed 29 years before he recieved circumcision because of the faith God gave him.

i've learned that there is but one thing that separates Christianity from other religions, and that is the act of God reaching down to us, because let's face it...we're hopeless, lol. we sin everyday, knowingly or unknowingly, so we can never hope to please God by any means. so if our deeds can never accomplish eternal life, then what can?! i'm convinced that Jesus was God's way of reaching down to us.

The first known gospel was actually the gospel of Thomas which was written in 100 AD. The Gospel of Mark was written in 300 AD. It formed the beginning of the compilation of the Bible when Christianity became the official religion of the Romans. In total there is belived to be about 30 gospels but only 4 ever made the grade.
