  • This is SO sweet.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhh those were the days.

  • I grew up on WPIX /New York (channel 11 back in the day) & now I just like it 4 the news in the am. Fox channel 5 and WOR Channel 9 (correct me if I'm wrong) still remind me of how far Me, U, have come. Tku! Memories Keep us Young!

  • WPIX was also a great channel to watch the fireplace on Christmas and watch people playing video games by saying, "pix, pix, pix, pix"!

  • I miss this kind of stuff. Anyone remember Christopher Coffin out of WJRT TV in Flint, Michigan???? I watched him all the time as a kid!!!!

  • dont forget the Channel 11 yule log on Christmas eve and Christmas day...

  • MST3K has taken the fear factor away from these movies forever.

  • Faydakin8 u know ur sh__! U just started an old school party! Wish u were here. It's sad that I get into arguements w/people who really believe the six finger grave chiller theatre was the FIRST. NOT!! TKS AGAIN!

  • Feydakin8, Yes, I can taste the nostalgia. Thanks so much for such pleasant memories. These were truly the days of good old fashioned tv, without the stuff that seems to be worse as time goes on.

  • love it love it love it

  • how about channel 9 intro to supernatural theater? where is that?

  • 1952, I'm 10 years later than you and I grew up with the 6-fingered hand (which I didn't even realize had 6 fingers until someone told me years later). But I grew up with CT and CF. This one looks like from the early-1960's. I think the 6-fingered claymation was around from 1969/1970 or so because I was watching both shows religiously at that time. I remember CF would show Saturday night and then repeate the next Saturday in the late morning; not sure if CT did the same.

  • 'Creature Feature' sounds right.

Does anyone have an intro to that show?

  • Does anyone remember the old monster movie show on Channel Five (WNEW) back in those days? It also had a good intro but I haven't seen it on youtube, so far.

  • @1400deadwood

You're probably thinking of "Creature Features"

  • This is in the memory of every NYC kid from the 1960's. Burnt in our brains forever. Like stickball and stoopball. A part of the NYC . Im proud to say ,i was one of those kids,in the good old days.

  • NYC and Westchester too!

  • SORRY,i didnt mean to leave anyone out , Chiller and other 1960's programs went on over the Tri state area, And we all have similar memories from the 1960's ,most of us did the same things and played the same street games in those days. anyone remember the game saloogie ?

  • YESSSS!!! Go to WPIX's web site and scream for more!!!

  • "Chiller's" back this Halloween!

  • I remember knowing when all the good programs were on,and looking forward to these shows comming on. I cant think of any tv show that i look forward to nowadays. I really think we had much better entertaining shows in the 1960's than now. This was one of those shows.

  • Harrieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

(50 ft. woman looking for her cheatin' husband)

  • scared the daylights out of me as a child

  • wow!! I remember these movies from when I was a kid...took me to memorie lane..

  • Thanks so much for posting. This is a BIG part of my childhood as well. It just wasn't Saturday night without Chiller Theater back in "the days".

  • Man.this is the one, all you NY 1960's kids, all we need now is East Side Comedy ,Abbott and Costello, and round it all out with Officer Joe Bolton and the Stooges and a big glass of BOSCO! Ya just had to be there,it was great!

  • dont forget captain Jack McCarthy...he hosted a show also...

  • @ffej980 Plus the annual Macys Parade right ? Thanksgiving ?

  • @1952kid I had to look to see if your post wasn't one of my old posts - exactly the same memories !!

Remember the lump of un mixed Bosco at the bottom of the glass ? LOL !! my favorite Abbott and Costello movie (besides the 1/2 hour show) was when they meet Dracula/Frankenstein/Wolfman !! All in one great movie. Slip, Satch and the boys had their own monster version. Great old stuff.

  • @ironman5454 I really loved my 1950's and 1960's childhood , the memories have stayed with me all these years. In the early 1960's in Queens NY, Duncan YoYo's and Tops were really a big thing , and the icecream trucks, and trucks with kiddie rides, on Halloween we came home with pillow cases full of candy. The odd thing was, we were allowed out all day ,with no one watching us . Those were really magical wonderful carefree days, i miss it alot .

  • I want my Chiller Theatre back!!! Where are you Zacherle? Your fans need you!

  • Thank you i will get both movies!!

  • That would be "Attack of the 50 foot Woman"

  • I was probably 4 yrs old when i saw this on tv and i was so scared. This was in New jersey in the early 60's.If someone knows the name of the movie were the giant man grabs the car please let me know.Thanks.

  • that's the amazing colossal man

  • Great to see this again! Some of earliest memories are watching Chiller Theater and this intro!!

  • Great to see this again! Part of my childhood!

  • I remember the one that had the haunted mansion in the foreground with the bats flying out.

  • remember this
