  • they're so off. but so sick. and the singer looks like a junkie badass. i want my hair to be like that. but the only way to do that is if i dont shower for a couple days. :/ ha

  • Sounds like Danzig is singing off camera

  • It's for sure howie pyro on vocals. Danzig is definitely NOT playing guitar...whoever first said that congrats. For the guitarist I'm gonna say that it is Franche Coma. He looks like the guy standing in the band photo from my static age cd insert.

  • @perryholcombe It looks it's Mr. Jim on drums (since the drums are left-handed) and Bobby Steele on guitar, but I might be wrong.

  • @KurtCobain11508 i dont think its bobby steele because mr jim wasnt playing drums anymore when bobby steele joined

  • @perryholcombe Oh yeah, thanks. Joey Image was on drums when Bobby joined.

  • @KurtCobain11508 i dont think its bobby steele because mr jim wasnt playing drums when bobby steele joined them

  • This is the earliest form of the Misfits. Yes that is Danzig on guitar and Jerry on bass, but this isn't 1979 everybody. This it before1977 (that's the year Danzig became the singer)

  • @MisterZombieBlood Danzig is NOT playing guitar in this video. He was the guy that walked by around 0:25

  • Comment removed

  • @Hooklineansinker my bad. There is another vid though of the same show where danzig does play guitar

  • It is Danzig on guitar and there is some friends of jerry and Glenn another guitarist is called Raven and in the drums there is some unknow friend and on the vocals guy called Howie Pyro.

  • Danzig is not in this video at all idk who these guys are?

  • "More distortion", lulz.

  • Was that Doyle or somebody else?!

  • @verydoozy No! Doyle wasn't in the Misfits until aroun 80 or 81 this footage is from the 70's

  • @danthegreaser71 lol it didn't look like him that's why i was confused. Thanks!

  • @verydoozy No Problem!

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT :B

  • I was 1 years old lol

  • why is it cut off?

  • "Moow Distoowshun!"

  • wow thats an old one holy crap

  • Wow!! Jerry with a mini-devilock xDD

  • That's not the Misfits. I only see Jerry...

  • @blackbeltbassist18 You didn't spot glenn at 0:25??? black jacket with stripes is Glenn Anzalone lol

  • DO MESS UP! AH WAHNT YOU HEAH!

  • This is a bit misleading; to clarify this is NOT the Misfits. It's just Jerry Only on bass and that's Glenn Danzig in the leather jacket with the stripes on the sleeve. The dude singing on the floor is Howie Pyro, and old friend of the Misfits who later played bass in Danzig for a few years. Not sure if Glenn is playing guitar off camera or not, but there is a vid floating around of them messing around with another song with Glenn on guitar.

  • yes kids... the misfits used to be a punk band

  • who was playing the guitar

  • its kinda like a retarded version of iggys song

  • stooges cover yea!!

  • Comment removed

  • wait ok... its not Danzig singing cause he walks off camera at 0:22 but then who IS singing? is it Bobby Steele?

  • @IDidItSidsWay It's Howie Pyro

  • @nekrobel whos that

  • @GuitarPlayer1395 Haha, he was in The Blessed, D Generation and Danzig. He worked with many other artists. He's a pretty fucking cool guy.

  • finally found the story on this. Early on during the night they played their christmas show in Max's Kansas City where Blue Christmas was recorded & this their second show they played that night. It's in December 1978 so Bobby Steele & Joey Image are in the band at the time.

  • is the guitarist doyle?

  • @NotStoked1 nope im not sure who it is to be honest....

  • @NotStoked1 i think it may be bobby steele

  • @NotStoked1 thats franche coma i believe off the cough cool ep looks liek the guy off that single any way and i never seen him anywhere else

  • @NotStoked1 no danzig

  • Are they performing in a laundromat....?

  • The only Misfit in this video is Jerry Only. Glenn is in the background, no Bobby Steele. Vocalist is Howie Pyro, NOT Danzig.

  • @stpdeli u r right the dude with like a black jacket is glenn, that asshole thinks he is iggy pop,tho i cant critic the song, cuz thats how it most be singed lol.

  • @horrorzombie7 i think we all WANTED(not now) to be iggy pop a one point or another

  • @stpdeli You are right!!! I know THE MISFITS from that time!! It's Jerry Only on the video.

  • I love Iggy's song as sang by Danzig's voice.

    Danzig and Iggy are amazing.

Jerry Only and the half assed Misfits of Today are not

  • I think this is the Bobby Steele, Joey Image era, which is my favorite lineup for The Misfits

  • Holy Shit!! Danzig is so puny!

  • Jerry Only without his Rickenbacker? Wow

  • Comment removed

  • this is before Danzigs nose job

  • Comment removed

  • holy horror batman!

     it that doyle playing guitar?

  • @distortion896 The guy playing guitar is obviously Bobby Steele.. later of the Undead

  • @distortion896 No, it's not.

  • i wonder why she said isnt in the related videos? thanx lux

  • what a bunch of posers, i hope glens drunk if hes not then hes just fucken retarded who are they jaming with

  • Glenns in the black jacket don't know who the singer is after glenn bailed before that trash started...wost vocal treatment ever.

  • it's cause he was high on something, there's another video from this with Danzig playing guitar, his singing is way worse in that...

  • @Demonoftheforrest it's not Glenn on vocals in this clip...

  • @TurboRamone999 I said playing guitar

  • @Demonoftheforrest oh sorry... anyway I'm not so sure that the guy with the Flying V is still him....

  • @TurboRamone999 No he plays guitar on a different song that was recorded this same night, I believe the song they were covering called Peppermint Twist, it's funnier than shit listening to that one guy, he jumps around like a monkey... the title should be The Misfits live 79... if it still exists

  • @TurboRamone999 actually it's The Misfits live 1979...

  • @maddogg63 Howie Pyro

  • HA! this is awesome :D

  • yep, pretty sure that was glenn in the beginning shot.....like the other guy said, that is the jacket glenn is pictured in in many old pics...he's wearin' that jacket on the inside sleeve of the static age album....wish there was more of this old stuff..prolly is...

  • God it's hard to believe Glenn used to look like that before he turned into The Hulk

    DANZIG SMASH!

  • Comment removed

  • @ChrisGnosis Lol! DANZIG MAD, DANZIG SMASH.

  • @ChrisGnosis The guy singing was not Danzig , not sure who is singing but Danzig is the one who walked away right before they started playing.

  • Has to be the oldest footage of Glenn I've seen. sounds like it could be clean singing with Howie - you get a few glimpses of him, with the black leather jacket with the colored stripes on one sleeve - a jacket worn in some of the older Misfits photo's easily found on the net...

  • This might put people off listenings to The Misfits

  • Disgrace to The Stooges

  • my opinion

  • was Howie high?

  • The only Misfits member playing is Jerry Only. Vocals is some guy name Howie Pyro and guitar is a dude name Raven.

  • you suck

  • actually correction....glenns only in it for like 3 seconds in the beginning.

  • The earliest motion footage of Danzig, if I'm not mistaken.

  • i wanted to cover this with my band and now that the misfits did it i dont feel worthy

  • is Franché Coma on guitar, doesnt look like Danzing on vocals is too tall, Danzig is near to jerry amp at the beginning of the video

  • I'm pretty sure that's Bobby Steele on guitar, Danzig on vocals (before he found his voice), and I know that is Jerry Only on guitar. I don't have a clue who that fucker screaming is, but he's badass.

  • howie pyro is the dude screaming

  • this is a 1990's vid. no way other. nice cover tho.

  • 1990s vid...? this is a late 70s vid.

  • DETROIT ROCK CITY!!!

  • jerry only on bass doyle on guitar fuck knows who the singers are

  • doyle was in the 7th grade when this was filmed

  • iggy pop created this song before sid vicious

  • no shit its a cover

  • @jonnydjanis he wasn t the only songwriter. all of The Stooges helped write it, and they wrote every song on the album in one night

  • @jonnydjanis Did somebody say Sid Vicious was the first to do "I Wanna Be Your Dog"? You've lost your punk rock priviledges. Give your leather, and spikes to the Goodwill, and I don't wanna see you so much as tap your feet to a commercial featuring a Buzzcocks song.

  • @jonnydjanis actually i believe its by the stooges

  • who has this whole video? please, please, PM me if you do.

  • This song was by The Stooges, in 1969. This version is...someone else. I can't tell who this really is. Maybe it is the Misfits very early on. That one guy looked like Jerry Only but I really don't think that was Glenn Danzig on vocals.

  • he's not on vocals glenn is playing guitar in this video i and I have no idea who the drummer is?

  • I wish this was the Misfits, you asshole.

  • man this song was done also by slayer but didnt iggy pop made this song

  • yeah

  • Stupid retard iggy pop wrote it sid vicious just is in love with it so he covered it alot

  • have you even HEARD of the iggy & the stooges, IAMELEMENT999? it's their song. on their first album. from nineteen sixty-fucking-nine!

sid vicious has nothing to do with "i wanna be yr dog", man.

  • actually sid did a cover of I wanna be your dog

  • Nice, very nice))

  • 01//1979: STUDIO ZERO; NEW YORK, NY

You Look Stupid In Your Uniform

    Peppermint Twist

    I Wanna Be Your Dog

    Trash

    Vietnamese Baby

  • is that doyle and bobby steele?!!

    :)

  • its neither an this way before msfits

  • this aint way before misfits

    the misfits started before 1979!

    get your facts straight

  • No cuz lglen dosent have long hair and jerry dosent have a devil lock! so you get ur facts right buddie

  • stooges started in 1969 dumber

  • dude , misfits started 77'

  • Yea but jerry also created adevillock then n in this he dosent have 1

  • That's Glenn from :12 to :26. He leaves to the left. Anybody know who that is playing guitar?

  • Franche Coma.

  • at least jerry aint singin!

  • Do you have the complete show?

Because this is the only song I've got and I'm looking for the rest of the recording including

You Look Stupid In Your Uniform, Peppermint Twist, Trash and Vietnamese Baby.

  • Hey, this is ccf1971. Peppermint Twist is up. Just search for Misfits Live 1979.

I still say that is Googy on the cover of The Perfect Crime.

Ha Ha. You can't erase this one.

  • Fangs very much, fiend!

    This show's so great

  • Hey Honk, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. A guy named Adam Grossman videotaped Samhain in San Antonio, Texas in 1985 or 1986, and barely any people ever saw the video. He may still have it if you track him down. I think he might be living in Austin. I heard he may be in a project with Paul Barker, formerly of Ministry. Adam himself played in Ministry in the early 2000's.

Not even the people at Misfits Central know about this.

  • It must have been some party down there :) Who is the guy singin'? Cuz I could see Glenn leaving at 0:29

  • Does anyone know more about this video? Really cool stuff!

  • this is better then the other one
