Thanks for your response. What's in the grey containers in the first approximately 45 cars. Is there a way that we can get together off line? I have some questions about the railroad under Souse bridge; I grew up in that neighborhood from about 1935 until 1953.
bubbe2781, I agree with your comment about the power of these units. I've played MSTS (because I have no life), and even though it's a simulation, you really sense the difference between a Dash-9 and an Alco RS3, big difference! It must have been harder in the old days. Good post sir.
Awesome power straining against massive load makes us feel alive, hard to explain, but top fuel dragsters, riding a motorbike or watching a vid of onboard cameras on a motorbike lapping the Isle of man are about as close as you can get to the feeling :)
Weird bell. It changed speeds. I saw a train accelarate like this a couple days ago but it was in the yard. It was an empty hopper train with a SD70MAC and AC4400 and it sped up to track speed within 30 seconds. it was really cool.
Tthis train sooooo easy 2 recognize!,only when it doesnt have its trash,it can b hard 2 recognize
