  • I used to have a great program i downloaded that showed everyone that pinged you or tried to access your computer, was freaky to look out and finf it was certain Universities in the USA, im in the UK, government bases, loads of places man. Pretty useless me telling you though cos i can't remember it lol :-) As for this, i didn't understand what the fuck was happening.

  • i dont have a run tab on my start menu, what do i do?

  • Wat u type in there

  • This is a common tool used to see what network connections are established on a system.

  • this is retarded, the reason "google" is connecting to your PC is because YOU WENT TO GOOGLE'S WEBSITE. You obviously have no idea how networking or computers work, stop trying to make people paranoid.

  • because you got google open

  • GOOGLE IS

  • if one does not have a pass word one does not receive wifi? if that is true must create antenna to steal it. there is no nerd but me. i learned guitar by playing till fingers bled.

  • @evamiguelina In some US states (I know at least in New York), it is considered breaking and entering if the neighbors crack the password. However, if you have no password, it's considered a "free wifi hotspot."

You can be held liable if someone downloads illegal content through your open wifi, so there is some concern. However, I don't feel this video really explains anything or is particularly useful.

  • ok whats a computer?

  • You are extremely stupid... people if you ACTUALLY want to see who's connected to your computer your going to have to examine your ports. here's what you do

    1. Run command prompt as an admin.

    2. type without quotes "netstat -an -p tcp -b"

    3. look at the foreign addresses.

note* don't be alarmed when you see tons of ip's from different places and certain trusted executable programs. only be alarmed if they are connect to you locally. (and your not using teamviewer or skype.)

  • @TCRCPRODUCTIONS The set of people who might actually understand this post and the set of people who need to learn it are almost mutually exclusive.

  • Okay,so what the fuck is on my pc?

  • I use a tool "network statistics" from MyLanViewer. It groups all connections by process names.

  • Someones paranoid. What you have kiddy porn and dont want to get busted. What a waste

  • you obviously have no idea what netstat does

  • use "netstat -an" man it's way better.

    newb.

  • I see someone really needs to learn TCP/IP in depth.

  • I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE..........JEHOVAH IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE THE COMPUTER, HE IS INSIDE THE WEB WITH HIS NET CATCHING LIZARDS AND SNAKES...........

  • @theresaramos7 - WHAT???!! Do NOT use God's name for such nonsense as this!! Satan is the god of this system of things.

  • hey thanks for the video. I have a crap load of people connected to my computer. Now how do I hide my porn so they cant watch it?

  • @Tmoney211 ahhh i done this before, just right click => properties => click General tab => hidden

there u go, but deleted that fuking history brower bastard. :)

  • @Tmoney211 If you have google chrome open it. And then type Ctrl+Shift+N. And it will show an incognito window. In this window you're histori will not be saved. :D

  • @Tmoney211 LOL

  • @Tmoney211 just put in a random folder lol

  • @Tmoney211 Shame on you for watching porn. Shame, Shame, Shame

  • @lecagot2 Shame on you for not getting joke.

  • @Tmoney211 Oh ...I am humbly sorry for putting you in a pervert category. I beg forgiveness.

  • @lecagot2 I'm sorry but if you didnt like my comment you didnt have reply to it. And over half of youtube is full of perverts, so why are you here?

  • @Tmoney211 I disagree. I think most people do YouTube to be entertained and sometimes educated. There are some rowdies on whom are mostly young, but I don't agree that many are perverts.

  • @lecagot2 I disagree, I think mostly the rowdies are middle aged, who have nothing better to do. I think you fall in that category.

  • @Tmoney211 You got me there.

  • @lecagot2 sure did buckaroo. You troll hard don't ya?

  • @Tmoney211 Huh?

  • its hard for me to undrstnd what u try to tell..no sound n damn fast

  • You need a book about basic TCP/IP networking... Assuming you can read.

  • @Zer0raD

    och!!

  • im new to using the command box, is it normal to have like 30 different IPs when you do this? and also what do 'listening' and 'established' mean?

  • @turnsout689 Well, think about this logically. How many servers do you think you're connected to right now? You have Youtube open, so there's one. Probably a second one for the vids themselves versus the whole page. Another one for advertising, maybe. It's not uncommon for web pages to contain content from multiple servers. If your browser has a phishing filter, there'll be at least one for that. Also consider how many tabs you have open and how many programs you have that auto update.

  • @turnsout689 also, `established' connections mean your computer is actively connected to another computer and can send/receive data. `listening' connections mean your computer is waiting for other computers to connect to it. If you have Windows File and Printer Sharing enabled, that's a good example of something that would be `listening' so other computers can connect to yours and access its files and printers.

  • @DarksporkLeader its nice to see someone give a good explanation without degrading anyone.

  • @turnsout689

do you remember the old telephone modem and the noise it made? That a was one form of listening, handshake and establishing a connection. IT's different now computers can do a lot more than you see. if you are worried about security try Linux. the only thing with is that there isn't a lot of games. But i haven't looked.

  • Thnxxxx dude!!!!! Try bnugys in run

  • hahahaha! thats not how many people are connected to u! It's how many open connections you have. i.e. how many programmes and settings are accessing the internet from ur pc. wise up and stop bein so paranoid !

  • My IP adress is 196.5.2.08 i dare you to remote shutdown my computer.. as youtube is our witnesss... no chargs will be pressd ..

  • @xXPlayerOfDcentryXx Sure like that's yours, you're probably just mad at someone and got their IP.

  • @xXPlayerOfDcentryXx Thats probally google or microsoft XDXDXDXD

  • @rhion5 LOl shoot how'd you know... ahaha so obvious... every IP with 5.2 in the middle is a top branch website.. or... atleast thats what i think...

  • @xXPlayerOfDcentryXx lol idk about 5.2 or wat eva but i just figuared it cuz copyed and oaste and it went to google, com XDXDXD

  • lol, all that i get is me, myself, and I.

  • I always read comments before the video starts. How? I use the most wonderful tool

in the world. It's called Flash Blocker.

I will not "automatically" view a video.

    Thanks for your disgust, people.

  • good call..what a waste

  • Someone gimme a flamethrower so I can deplete this vid.

  • I'm getting "system error 6118 has occured. the list of servers for this workgroup is currently not available" what is that mean? Please help anyone.

  • thnx man

  • Who did you get this info from?

  • you visited google webpage so there's a no connection to google servers in your netstat, now what's wrong with that?

  • umm taskmanager then users much faster

  • that sucked

  • how the fuck do you kick them offfff

  • Cool story bro.

  • I got 75 251 O.o

  • wtf are you inbred?

  • netstat -an

  • you're cool

  • it's over 9000!!

  • I'm connceted to more than 5000!!!

  • "netstat /all" works better...

  • you're gay!

  • Its not a waste of space! Only a hacker would think so!

    This is important to know!

  • windows users.. ooh.. its so wonderful to be surrounded by noobs.

  • @amaranthflavius Linux ftw?

  • @amaranthflavius Yeah, you just build yourself up, don't ya- by putting others down. I'm glad you r so great.

  • @Fractalor I'm not the one putting others down, it's there own ignorants, some use Internet to watch cat videos, 1 guy one cup and porn.. I'm learning every day something new. I think the main reason people get hacked is ignorants or stupidity. If it weren't for people like you I would be out of a job. Its spelled "are" not "r".

    Have a lovely day :)

  • @amaranthflavius You used 'it's' and 'ignorance' incorrectly:

    It's: "It is.."

    Its: Something belonging to 'it.'

Do you know what internet slang is?

The reason 'r' was used as 'are,' is because 'r' is a part of internet slang, replacing the word 'are' in its place.

For example: R u (Are you) ok? lol (Laugh Out Loud)

That was a minor example of internet (chat room) slang being used.

You can use it while creating text messages on your cellphone as well.

Google 'internet slang' for more help.

  • @amaranthflavius how about ignorance instead of ignorants

  • @amaranthflavius Just like it's wonderful enough encountering Mac/Linux users who think their systems are better than ours just because they think they are.

    Inane opinions these days.

  • Look into tcp and udp ports and how to connect though them

  • This is good but only for those who knows how to read it

  • I check netstat in MyLanViewer, it is very convenient to view incoming and outgoing connections for each process separately.

  • you have google open. that's what it means to open a web page. you 'connect' to the server.

    idiot

  • arp tables ..

  • holy shi* thats AWSOME

  • i dont rly understand this but i have like 200 xD

  • Can someone kill this asshole for wasting youtube's space?

  • @mridul000 you are

  • @mridul000 i can kill only you

  • @den368able : Really? Try!

  • This taught me something . I really have to password my networks.

  • netstat -f

  • PLEASE HELP!!! What the hell??? I have a few, but why is FACEBOOK appearring there when I don't even have an account?

  • @fevertotell00 Because you've got your web browser open, and it is connecting to Facebook to retrieve ads or images.

  • omg I have like a thousand, I did it and boom the list just generated forever!

  • hacking if for fat pussys who like to have no life and fuck up other humans good job hackers ... loves from me <3 ... mofos

  • @wonderkingVM noob

  • can you block them because my list wont stop.........

  • is it bad if it took a solid 60 seconds to load

  • Wait! my pc says that they are 100,000 MacOSX systems connected to my PC?

    :-/

  • oh can it be 302 mines show that

  • 200 Ehehe

  • Netstat just lists the active connections in your computer.

It doesn't tell you who is connected to you, it tells you what is communicating to your computer period.

  • What does it mean? Who could be connected?

  • k... now how do i kick em off?

  • @christopheRocco77 lol, pm me ill help you

  • @maam31 Do you know how to tell if someone hacking your the real way cause i think im beening hack

  • @lizardman601 yes sure man, pm me

  • @lizardman601 yes sure man pm me

  • @lizardman601 If there is an unknown address connected to your machine that you should not be connected to then chances are there is a malicious program running on your machine connecting to a remote server for whatever purposes. You should run a packet sniffer and check what traffic is being sent to that location.

  • @christopheRocco77 type shutdown -i and just copy the IP adress...

  • pwned.

  • oh u so srmt

  • i have 1. and its my homegroup so i know who it is. lol @ bill gates/chuck norris/russia/america/pedo's/hackers/squirrels watching all you commenters

  • computer fags

  • Haha "Run : cmd"

  • @UntilYouRunOutofCake

'any operating system is easily 'hackable' if its used by an idiot.' - this is not debatable, read some books

Your point was OSs are solid and difficult to penetrate. You are incorrect and missed the point. Why would we need firewalls and monthly security updates?

You are debating something u know nothing about. You think pwn2own is the only time we find flaws in OSs?

PS put down the dictionary and lurn2computerscience, Write back soon my co-workers think you're funny

  • @clayman1982 and your a hamrog

  • @kodi665

lol, I dont know everything but I've got 12 years in network security, 4 in training kiddies like you with basic networking skills. Stay in school troll

  • @clayman1982 btw some how the universe intoduced me with this word "hamrog" while i clicked on the random button on urban dictionary as soon as i was watching this vid so.... yeah just ur luck.

  • @kodi665

I had to look it up. I was a bit of hamrog back in the day, then I learnt a little. Learning about networking etc can be interesting, but doesnt help get me laid very often.

I am still confused how this video got 300,000 views. The guy who wrote netstat should be happy, It is a useful tool, and can potentially tell you whos connected to your pc, just didnt think that many people cared. If your worried about this get a spyware and virus scanner, you'll be fine most of the time.

  • @clayman1982 atleast your honest with yourself. sort of admirable (dont get exited im not a chick.) but yeah i got norton.

  • @clayman1982 btw again i have no network experiance i just look at all sorts of vids on youtube at night after a joint. youd be suprised at the shit you can learn on youtube.

  • @kodi665

lol, i only watch utube if im stoned, but i forget most of it. If I get too stoned, sometimes I accidently write comments.

  • @clayman1982 lol

  • @elwero762 Suddenly got pwned by you LOL! TRUE SPAMMER :D KEEP IT UP also i didnt read only i read till KISS IF YOU READ THIS FUCKING SPAMMER [ ONLY YOU ] YOUR GOING TO GET BANNED FROM YT COMMUNITY

  • well you really gave a new idea to use that magnifier thanks reaaly

  • i have 2 lol

  • its over 9000!

  • @Damachian :D

  • @Damachian Shawty's Over 9000 !!!!!!!!

  • Those are incoming and outgoing Network Connections that programs on your computer are using to communicate with servers, routers, and other computers. It's nothing to be alarmed about. It's basically showing you that your computer is talking with the router.

  • how to delete them

  • is there a run... on a mac?

  • Noob. Use netstat properly. "Netstat -n" or '-a"

  • i have none :D

  • @sad4ewer same

  • @sad4ewer me too :P

  • @sad4ewer

    i have more than 100 :D

  • google; "we're way up your ass"

  • lol! i'm connected to over a 100 peoples =P

  • lol thats really creepy.

  • Hi, this person is connected to Google. not the other way round By this persons logic, someone at google will be going "Oh no we're being hacked as there are several million people connected to various servers on port 80! In fact if any of you are using youtube right now (that means all of you lol) you will also be connected through googles servers as well as they seem to be using them to host YouTube now that they've bought it.

  • can google c me now

  • @Qustin13 no

  • lol

  • lol i kind of agree with you, but technically it reads and tells you what your computer's network connection is connected to. And because your connected to google thats what happens.

  • Google, the best cracking tool ever

  • Wow this is dumb even for youtube.

He is connected to google not the other way around.

Seperate note: any operating system is easily 'hackable' if its used by an idiot.

  • @clayman1982 What a stretch. Even in quotes, that'sa HUGE stretch.

Modern OSs are built solidly and are difficult to penetrate.

  • @UntilYouRunOutofCake

Modern OSs are built solidly and are difficult to penetrate?

Did you read that off some microsoft vista marketting material?
