  • What RWD transmission bolted the 4g63t?

  • @squaddy11 Starion?

  • love the jamaican colours on the engine!!!

  • powerslide.

  • @DrifterZDK Whats the difference between a powerslide and a drift? I have an idea I just want some clarification

  • Team orange!

  • wonder if it has power steering most RWD 4g63t can't fit the pump XDDDDDDD

  • @Zaknaf87 if im correct (i cant read Japanese im going from what i know about the D1 Regs so feel free to correct me) its got a gtr rear differential and is only rear wheel drive i don't think D1 allows 4wd vehicles to compete

  • how an evo should be

  • @ButteryCommando i agree with you 110%

  • Gtr diff. Weird I wonder what proportions of power is set or perhapse it is changed via computer depending the moment at a corner. Lots of people like Ken Block change the proportions sometimes 100% rear even to 50:50... But I am happy that this is still awd despite d1.

  • es mi coche locos lo deje prestado a la empresa

  • Mr. JUN doesn't mess around

  • @sydneycroatianet sos ur moms mini van

  • @wwwsydneycroatianet thats why you make it wider. ;P

  • @wwwsydneycroatianet lol drifting was basicly invented with the evo.....

  • @Obtik9

    errrrrrrr not this one though

    lol

  • damn that looks crazy bad ass long ways I LOVE THE ALMIGHTY 4G63T!!!!!!

  • fuckk man!!!that wat amazing walaa beb!!!

  • Team Orange!! :3

  • its not that unique. we built one about 2 years ago. it was a 6 month build from full stock evo to full drift evo. just sayin. its alot easier then it looks

  • Nice evo IX i want haha .

  • good shit

  • the word is simply unique

  • what trans did they use?

  • i wonder that too.

  • oh it says hollinger at the end.

  • @Adammartini hey did you ever find out if they used the front wheel drive shaft for the left front wheel to rear drive shaft?or did they cut the fire wall and use somthing else

  • @demorgus hahaha good one

  • wow..that is insane ( in a good way)

  • Pichez chinos son cabrones Bass ass evo 9

  • i wonder what tire sizes are under the evos and subies of team orange , standard sizes for those cars are 245/255 but i doubt they use 255s on the back , i bet they use 245s for front and 275s for the back , i will be VERY surprised if they still run the stock sizes and able to drift that well and compete with other drifters that do use sizes like 245-275 or 255-295 !

  • right hand drive, perfect for aussie roads.. send it to me mr jun i will thrash it for you. i promise!!!!!

  • A chdking cool car

  • so crazy that they re-positioned the 4G63

JUN does amazing work on these D1 cars!

  • they repositioned it like that to turn the car into rwd

  • that evo has been totally revamped. AWESOME !!! the drift at 4:01 was tight.

  • actualy i think they are for towing

  • i think so two , some tracks tow the car up , not on a actual tow truck , or it s a handle to kill the engine for when theres fire , or it s for a tow crane , wich i think is more obvious since it looks exactly like one(i ll call it that for now since i dont know how to call it ha)

  • anyone know what trans they used?

  • all I can read is sequential-mission

  • that red ringin gotta be to tow the car

    ? you not think

  • the red ring is more likely to be a power switch, so you can cut power from outside the car in case of fire, a tow ring is in front of the car under or in the front bumper, marked whit a red arrow.

  • the ring is for the car to be towed to the tracks coz they don't want to drive the evo to the track so they towed the evo using another car......

i wanna know why is the engine put that way??

  • so they can use a rear wheel drive tranny

  • the red ring at :42. whats it for

  • what are the rings inder the hood and usually on bumpers for?

  • im not to sure but i think there for keeping the bonnet stable! im not sure

  • ergg wth did they do to it at the end?

    it looks like complete shit

i keep it wat it looked like att the begining plus a back bumper

  • its good too see they went to the effort of tubbing the front and facing the motor north south compared to the original east west configuration

  • yeah im guessing its nessesary for it to be rwd?

  • yes all rwd cars have inline N/S configuration all fwd cars have sideways or E/W config and awd can have it eather way

  • not bad

  • thats a mitsubishi engine? almost looks like a rb

  • yes look at it

looks exactly like an evo engine

  • wow verey nice im thinking of geting a evo9 LOL

  • Damn! The amount of work involved in this car boggles my mind o_0 !

Turning the 4G63 longitudinally makes great advantages for the chassis. The fastest 4 cylinder car in the world runs this setup!

Less drivetrain loss (better response), less moving parts (less weight), and better center of gravity. Plus they made enough room to V-mount the radiator AND the intercooler! Amazing! Five ***** Stars

  • ahh JDM Option dvd, good series

  • hands down sickest car in the D1. too bad he moved on to Evo X. its not as good and its ugly as hell lol.

  • The new evo 10 actually clips better and keeps its line better than his evo 9, did you watch round 1-4 of the 2009 series? he was doing quite good for a new car.

  • i saw the Evo X at ebisu... not really impressed. i kno kumakubo is one of the most gifted drifters in the world and think he was doing "quite well" just cuz hes a beast. all i know is the Evo IX made hella more smoke, got hella more angle, and was THEE sickest looking car in the D1. his new Evo X is hella ugly and looks almost stock.

  • I think in round one(ebisu march 29th) the car was suffering from under steering problems, but Autopolis and Okayama really impressed me

  • yeah i havent been following as much this year cuz i havent found as many full rounds as i did for 2008. maybe hes gotten to be better in the Evo X idk

  • actually idr it might've been TAS09 when i first saw it. maybe hes dialed it in better since then idk. still not as good looking as the widebody Evo IX tho

  • I do admit , CT9A is the best looking D1 car I have seen, we agree on that.

  • very nice looking under the hood :)

  • Does Jun produce the aero packages for the suburu's and mistu's? Their insane or was it their original supplier for their Silvias? Those cars look insane with graphics 2.

  • Team Orange rocks!!

  • is that a 4G?

  • subtitles lol

  • big props to team orange for repping so many rwd converted awd cars!

  • that fa cunt will smoke you

  • Save all that weight and then put that fat cunt drivin...

  • I dont know Japanese but did they disable the front drive shafts?

  • look at how the motor in mounted.. rear wheel drive

..cant disable just front drive shafts it would cause transfer case to fail

  • i remeber reading about a car built by tool auto i believe, They just pulled the front axels and capped em off. they never said anything bout a transfer case failure.

  • no they used a steering rack from a s15..and more thats all i remember right now

  • i have no idea what they are saying, but i like the evo drift!

  • arigato!

  • i want one for christmas

  • me 2 me 2

  • Really nice car, but I'm sure that at 2:56 I heard him say something about Richard Simmons

  • When i said kellogs cornflakes.. i was relating it to the colour of the tiger mascot :P

  • I didn`t understand what he said but nice car

  • Kelloggs Cornflake mobile? lol

  • nobushige kumakubo rocks! camera sucks very low fps

  • ver good..ping pongs made

  • It even says: 2.2L JUN motor.

  • For all who say its an rb or 2j you guys are fucking retarded, read the subs he even said 4g63 its obviously an EVO motor mounted vertically instead of horizontal for RWD status. jeebus.

  • nice drifts... shit camera

  • whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...kumakubo san...hahaa..should be tsuiso battle with ken nomura

  • So I assume that stock one is what Tanaka will be driving next year now that Kuma's Evo 9 has been handed down to Suenaga?

  • Is that the 2JZ from the Supra motor in an Evo shell? That is sick!

  • No. its a 4G63 from an Evo....

looks nothing like the 2j lol.

and its got a Mitsubishi cover on top the spark plugs.

    still sick!

  • Its a 2.2L 4G63 just facing front to back instead of side to side. Major modification. The 2JZ as bigger and longer.

  • no not 2jz thats a mitsubushi engine

  • Comment removed

  • i thought that suspension coil was a bong at first

  • Team orange FTW :D

  • amazingly clean.... looks like it came like that from the factory.

    insane work. insane car.

    so damn cool.

  • shit a dual turbo evo wish they made those in production

  • with money everything on earth is in production.

  • defenitly dont make those in stock production no matter how much you pay for an evo buddy

  • they also have 2 D1 STi's, a RS/STi, and a S15

  • who is driving this car in D1?

  • german-- PS(Pferde Starken)= horse power

  • this is going to sound kinda noobish but the specs say 500ps. what is that in horsepower?

  • ive been crazy into cars for years and I still dont know the differnce lol.....I can rebuld engines, tune cars, hp/ps differnce, not a clue, lol.

  • anybody know what will make a car go faster that is cheap to install?

  • the heaviest piece of lead you can find strapped to the bottom of your right shoe

  • have 2 agree here,

    look @ it this way

    cheap, reliable, fast

pick any 2 an u have u'r answer

cheap an fast will most likely lead u 2 stress

  • Comment removed

  • I dont car what anyone says but the cheapest go fast mod if the car is N/A is nitrous. If any car is stock turboed then easiest is ecu reflash or to turn up the boost within the confines of the ability of the internals and the size of the turbo, injectors, etc.

  • geez i hope to god your english teacher failed you, otherwise there's something greatly wrong with this country's education system

  • English prezzzzz

  • u can djus use a starion or a rx7 fc's gearbox and djus make a bellhousing

  • shit! an earthquake just happened when i was watching this vid! fk!

  • I've never been able to find the d1 rule book but I have found formulaD's and drift buffet's. According to them Kumokubo's car is not legal. Cutting of anything on the firewall bigger than drilling a 3/8" hole is forbidden. I think D1 looked the other way because this is team Orange and they've been around for a long time. I love my mitsu but I think this sort of swap is illegitimate and shouldn't be allowed. If someone with out a big name can't do this why should he be allowed? Kinda F'ed up.

  • its a three wheel drive operative meaning motion detection is required for all the wheels to turn. prior to turning it shuts off the power to the front wheels thus drifting is possible with minimal loss in power

  • I'm in love!

  • za chuja nic nie kumam, ale jest git

  • i love it

the car drift with over 100kmh...

  • its called buscher racing....they have rwd tranny conversions for the 4g63, ps car is friggn sick!

  • buschurs rwd convo doesnt turn the motor tho...

  • Dudes... the engine is mounted like that because the car si RWD, if you tri to modify the stock gearbox and center diff, you can make it RWD, but you loose very mutch power.

  • haha! whhhhhhhhaaaat!!??..NO PUSSY FOR A CAR!!..FUCK! THAT BRO..I LOVE CARS TOO DEATH! BUT..MY GOD I. AM. NOT!. CHOPPIN MY COCK OFF!!! FOR A EVO LOL....i mean CUM!! on lol PUSSY!!!.

  • i would chop off my cock for this car

  • id rather have the new norris designs one my self ul have to check it out m8 fukin SICK!!

  • sucks ! :P

  • a soon as i can afford it im getting a evo 6 and wen imold enuf 2 drive lol

just thought i wud share tht wif every1 lol

  • lol how old are you? good luck with that =)

  • lol im 14 =/ but fank 4 the gud luk :P

  • lol for sure. I was a little yunger than you when i was learning about cars and getting into them. I got my Z when i turned 14 lol. again good luck =)

  • Team Orange Ichivan no!

  • english

  • HUH?!!! the 4G63 goes staright?its juz like a SR20....its a masterpiece...thier brain is totally genius....tell me wat else dat japanese cant do....?

  • I was asking myself that... What would the purpose be? what would they gain by it being straight...?

  • yea...i'm also thinkin about that....wats the purpose...?haha...anyone can solve my puzzle?

  • It might serve for mass centralization... the 4G63-T in this evo is far back and exactly in the middle of the engine... compared to a standard Evo that has the engine sitting farther forward. Other than that... I have no idea.

  • maybe you got some points...cuz this maybe one of the facts...

  • more engine space for other performance part?

  • erm...maybe you are rite...but as you can see...the space is almost full...im still wondering hows d gearbox structure is gonna be...?

  • That gearbox is probably custom made... seeing how it's a RWD instead of an AWD now... I bet there's a JDM company that offers a kit to do this. Japanese tuners are insane... As lame as it is, the Tokyo Drift Evo was RWD as well... so I presume they both have a similar system.

  • The Evo's engine bay doesn't really provide much room, but then again it hasn't had problems fitting things. At most, they'd do a battery relocation... I'm convinced this would be mainly for mass centralization...

  • hmm.. i agree too!

  • the north to south is for rear so the gearbox can mount to it and it would be easier west to east is for front and most awd system takes up les space and easy 2 mount or was something like that i didnt really care after i fount out straight was for rear and side ways for most awd and front

  • YO ES KE NORMALMENTE VOY TO KOLOKAAO

  • *facepalm* Ok, is it just me, or does a RWD EVO defeat the purpose of the whole car?

  • yea kinda espcially since the evo is a rally car.

  • but its does look cool. and he is the only one who drifts in a evo

  • onamaewa

  • i drift like these gays

  • is it me or does the doors look like wrx doors

  • on 2:46 that guy looks so homo

  • that guy is kumakubo and he won the 2006 d1 gp!!!

  • so he still looks kinda gay damn

  • I don't agree that RWD swapping has the best handling, but that lancer is a beast

  • That thing is a beast!

  • nissanfail

  • someone's been watching too much Tokyo Drift...

  • lol ur right

  • is it just me or do 350z's seem really hard to drift or handle?

  • I wouldn't know, I drive an Evo 9.

Btw sorry for marking your comment as spam, I clicked the wrong button. x.x

  • hahahaha

    i hate this movie!!!

  • omggg! i want tht carr:O:O:O:P:P:P :) x itss well mintt

  • Dude i think it's something wrong with the vid, it won't start

  • get a broadband internet link LOL

There's nothing wrong with the video

  • its working now, dunno what happened

  • the engine sounds powerful but everytime it drifts the engine is suffering because of the engines different angle.

  • Team Orange/Jun Auto might've fixed that problem long ago. It's only been over a year since Kumakubo switched the Impreza for this Evo IX.

  • LOL!!! why would the angle make the engine suffer?? its does affect how the car handles (in this case makes it better) but not how it operates...

  • just becausre it reach the red rpm zone

  • HOW is it dying? im interested to know. please tell.

  • you know everytime you say something stupid your brain is dying!

    lol...

  • dude your profile says your 16 years old, so ur bullshittin, and yer its way way better than any evo iv seen, prob cost a few hundred grand to build, :)

  • Well; yeah it also says he is from Singapore...lol! Either way; this evo is way cooler than -my- IX ever was; and that includes my mods (enough to go 11.7qtr)

  • Evo 5 is the best
