115-113 how 2 judges scored it is way too close. The fight was defintely more one sided then that. The other judge was spot on with the scorecards. A few more rounds and it might have been robbery for Ward. I expected Froch to give him a stern test yet Froch looked dissappointing perhaps all the wars hes been in are catching up with him? Either thats the case or ward could perhaps be better then i thought although Wards abilities havent really been tested to the full yet.

Going by the last 4 rounds I'd put my money on froch in a rematch and I'd win my bet. Froch stamina is second to none and his desire is unmatchable and desire isn't down to skill which ward has, ward just built up a lead and that's it.

In so many circumstances, the slightly shorter, denser guy wins. It's almost always the case unless out of talent from the taller guys that we've seen in a few. Personally I find it easier to spar 6'4 guys than 5'9 guys who batter the hell out of me.

i can't believe the press, many saying froch was outclassed and outmuscled. sure, froch lost this fair and square but it was not a total destruction of froch by ward. i just watched the fight and froch looked tough and strong and he was never totally hurt by ward. as the one of the commentator said ward knows he has been in a fight! i scored it 115 to 113 to ward so it wasn't froch getting totally outclassed and outmuscled by ward like the press made out it to be.

Great fight. for all young fighters out there, look at Ward. he is how you should be fightin, hands up the whole time. fightin with ur hands up means ur a little quicker from when ur hands are down and ur always protected. i want to see andre ward vs andre dirrel and then move up to fight dawson, i also wanna see dawson vs dirrel.

Ward shouldn't be allowed to clinch and literally push his opponent to the ropes, thats not inside fighting, thats cheatin, this isn't mma!! The ref should have cut that out sooner!! Kinda hoped Froch would bodyslam him, lol. Great win for Ward, great talent and shouldn't need to do that!! Froch lost clearly and the score cards are a disgrace.. whoever thinks this fight was close needs to have their eyes checked or grasp a better understanding of how to score a boxing match.. and the english commentators were a little biased btw

LOL @ people calling this a wipeout. It was hardly Calzaghe v Lacy was it.Ward won fairly, but Froch was coming on late. Froch won 3 of the last 4 rounds. If he had let his hands go a bit more early on, it could have been interesting. 115 - 113 was a fair score.

Froch should not have tried to beat Ward at his own game - thing is he would have taken even more damage coming in but attrition would have worked in his favour once they were both exhausted. 115 - 113 with Froch winning 4 rounds don't make sense. But yeh, the rounds Froch lost were by 2 or 3 punches

Brits don't fight Mexicans often because Mexicans are naturally smaller people and so fight in the lower weight divisions. I do seem to remember Ricky Hatton knocking Castillo out however.

It has more to do with what Dre was doing as opposed to what Carl wasn’t doing. He doesn’t have the tools to beat Ward in a boxing match and won’t acquire them at age 34 -- he should've just sold out from the start, instead of waiting until the 11th.

@ziiik0 I was thinking the same thing before the fight, however i thought after about the 7th round Ward would start slowing down and Froch could start pressing him. But he couldn't really touch him all night, and like you said Ward could OUT MUSCLE Froch everytime they tied up.
I thought Froch would have his best rounds later in the fight, even though i knew he would lose i didnt think it would be a total wipe out, Gotta take off my hat to Andre Ward he's the real deal

at no time was Froch hurt in this fight. He was out-sped and outpunched. He should have fought up close and just kept dogging ward til he was exhausted or Froch was himself but I know that Froch is a lot tougher than Ward so I would bet on Ward breaking first. Froch may be "hard" as you say but even if I was Froch's blood relative I couldn't say he won 3 rounds against Ward.

Ward is the biggest false package in the sport. His tactics are hit and hold, run and hold and a venue where he gets away with this. Boring and dirty fighter!
He has some skills but not the guts to box without pulling his arms around his opponents all the time. He will get beaten as soon as he has to fight in a neutral venue where he will get points deducted whenever he holds. And then he will get very fast forgotten!

i did not say that Froch was the better man, i just say that in general Ward needs these tactics to win his fights. I love boxing and i love CLEAN boxing the most. I hate clinching and holding and if Ward would just beat his opponents without all the holding i would be his fan for sure. Some holding is o.k., but this is faaaar too much. I don't know what fight you saw, maybe you were at the pub drinking it up; but Ward clearly took the fight, fighting on the inside and outside, and schooling Froch on the importance of keeping your hands up during a fight. Ward is technically better than Froch and also beat him on the inside where Froch should have had an advantage.
