  • Dear Sarmalim. the word ashgh is not arabic. The arabic has borrowed from Indo-iranian language. ashok is in Sanskrit. In addition, Mina is also used in Persian in south of Iran. for example Minaye mou (Minaye man). In addition persian and pashtu have the same family language. best Ghani (Iranian from south of Iran)

  • @Persia7030, Sorry to disappoint you, the word "Eshq" meaning love is derived from the Arabic language. One of the only languages that did not borrow the Arabic word, and held its own, "Meena" was Pashtu.

  • Fuck pashtoon from kheybar to moltan

we have word (mehr ) for eshgh , and most of arabic language means your mom language came out from Persian.

  • @sarmalim I guess you need to study little bit more.Word Eshgh is a different pronunciation of the word:Ashk" or "Arashk".Doesn't it reminds you the name of the old dynasty of kings in Iran"Ashkanian"?This word latter on changed its pronunciation and accepted the the Arabic form of it so it became Eshgh and even more later on many derivatives of it showed up:ashegh,maashoogh,asheghe,...

  • @sarmalim If we accept what ever word starting with ع) is Arabic then please help me to understand which one of this names are Arabic:ایلام and عیلام ??

What I mentioned before is just simply transforming the appearance and pronunciation of a word:the word Ashk got "MOARRAB".There are many examples:word "KHALIDJ"its root is "KHALID"and it means somewhere ship creep(meaning harbor)but later on it became KHALIDJ and now most of the people believe it is Arabic which is not.

  • @apadanagirl I looked up the words "Eelaam", in Frarhang-e-Ameed, with both spellings, no entry in the dictionary for either spellings. When I looked up the word Khalij, the etymology was listed as Arabic only, therefore I stand by my prior knowledge, or we can agree to disagree.

  • @sarmalim You can look in the Internet to see the similar cases of changing pronunciation.I I tried to send you 2 links but didn't work, unfortunately.

By the way, I do not have access to Farhang-e Ameed...

  • @sarmalim In fact the name of the capital city of turkemenistan had been Ashk abad:It was build by Ashk the 1st(Ahk-e avval) so it was called askh abad and later on became Eshgh abad.
