  • good idea with the divider to get two seperate colors, ya know I have been using the 3 inch pvc pipe to make shaving soaps and I just line with butcher paper, just a simple circle of paper not even taped together and the soap slides right out the next day!

  • Looks fantastic!

  • @missbeckAUS Thank you so much for the kind comment.

  • Thank you!

  • You are welcome.

  • Wow, ur hubby is good with constructing stuff. Love it. Do you sell the boxes and dividers?

  • Thanks. We are soaper hobbyist (addicts). We have had many request to sell our molds, but have not made that commitment yet.

  • You two are just adorable - will certainly try that.

  • Thank you Karen.

  • Thanks Denise. Glad you like them.

  • Beautiful colors, Great swirl!! This was fun to watch you 2 did a beautiful job!

  • Thank you for the comments.

  • Thank you.

  • We have found that the PVC pipe mold usually gels pretty well by just wrapping a blanket or several towels around it for 24 hours. If you want to make certain, you can wrap a heating pad (the kind you use on your back) around it first, then the blanket or towels. For safety reasons, we found a heating pad that shuts off automatically after one hour (or use a timer). We feared leaving it on unattended. We often use the heating pad under our slab or log molds with a blanket or towels over them.

  • My hubbie and I just made 2 of these last night, thanks to you guys. It came out beautiful, hehehe I have not cut it yet. I just pulled it out of the freezer. I will send you a video responce on our cut bars. You guys are the best, keep up the good husband and wife team work. Such a cute couple! =]]]]]

  • Thanks for your kind words Sherri, you are so sweet. Hope the soap can out of the pipe OK. Don't wait too long after removal from the freezer before the soap expands again. Happy soaping...

  • You two are awesome !!!

I love your soap swirls, keep up the good work.

  • Thanks Krissy. We like the feedback so we can justify continuing to feed our soap making addiction. ;-))

  • You two are adorable! Beautiful soaps. My husband helps me with candle making and Wayne reminds me of him with all his homemade gadgets. :)

  • Thanks. Billie is the craft expert. I am basically the lab assistant and equipment engineer. ;-))

  • VERY NICE

  • Thank you.

  • hey! what happened to my comments! weird...ok I'm gonna try again--

Thanks for the video you two, the soap looks awesome:-) I tried this thing with the divider in a Pringles tube and it was all great till I put it in the oven to gel (wrong decision) and the bottom burst open and it was a lovely blob all over the tray underneath (luckily I put a sheet pan under the mold!)

But I might just try this again 'cause you guys make it look sooooo easy!

  • Thanks Juicy. We had that happen in our oven once with a faulty slab mold. We did not use a pan --- what a mess. ;-( We never soaped in the oven again. We use blankets and sometimes use a back heating pad.

  • Very nice, thank you for sharing! =]]]

  • Thanks Sherri.

  • Very cool! Thanks for sharing Billie and Wayne! AshleyR :)

  • Thank you for the comment.

  • Awesome guys!!!

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • I just love you guys. Great tut!!! Thanks for posting them for all of us!

  • Awesome guys! I would never have though of swirling PVC soap... makes me want to pull my pipes back out! I had my husband cut them down to 1' because I tried 2' before and it was such a pain to get it out that I never tried again... you two have really inspired me to give it another shot.

So do you line your PVC at all? I lined the HECK out of mine.. we're talking 5-6 layers of freezer paper, and it still got stuck :(

  • We do not line the tube. The first few times we did coat it with mineral oil due to fear. We found by experimenting (we forgot the mineral oil once) that a trip to the freezer for a couple of hours before unmolding, caused the soap to shrink slightly more than the PVC. So a few good vertical strikes to the floor, or pushing from the top with a soup can and stick, pops the soap right out. A smaller tube (1" or 2") might be different. We use no lubricants inside the 3" PVC pipe anymore.

  • Way to go, Wayne & Billie! My dh came and watched it with me because he knew he was going to have to make me one, just like you 30" mantra mold. hee hee. Isn't this fun?

Can't wait to see what the next video is going to be.

  • Tell hm not to bother with a fancy base like I did. I drilled an air channel through the wood and fitted it with a tire valve. I "thought" my air compressor would push the soap right up the tube when ready, but "no soap" ;-)) . The freezer method works just fine to get the soap out of the tube. Have fun...

  • Thanks, Billie and Wayne!! You guys are AWESOME! :D

  • Thanks Salty.

  • Very cool looking soap! Thanks for posting! Alan

  • Thanks Alan. It was fun.
