At 1st glance the cat at the start looked liked Disneys Bonkers but further inpection and he looks more like Slyvester the cat.
That sequence in the cave looks like visions when someone is on drugs.

Note that saltpetre has been misspelled saltpeter, the American way. Did one of the American writers write this episode? The episodes never had on-screen titles and all the writers were credited at the end.
