I took my 10 yr old nephew to see this launch. We were like 10 miles away from the launch. It was really cool to experience that with him. I remember my first trip down to see one go off, and have been hooked ever since. We were just north of US 1 and State 50. Where were you here? On the base?

Fantastic !!! We got tickets for the Feb 12th launch. What type of camcorder did you use. This is great footage.

Thanks! It was a Sony Handycam DCR-HC96. Good camera, though small and tough to stabilize (as you saw).

We were on the NASA causeway, about six miles from the pad.
