Nixon is a complicated figure in American History, he could've been a great president but he threw it away because of his paranioa, and that makes him a somewhat tragic figure

31,000 Americans were killed due to Republicans long history regime for anger as a result in war with other countries leaving American with the cost of higher taxes and deficit. Peace they never look to talks of peace as President Carter had to do. Then politics is a confusing world because presidents change positions of things and the American people have to keep adjusting back to Republican control.
