Ahhhhhh... MEMORIES! Glad this video was posted so I can re-live the memories of "Wander's of Y's III". lol I used to play this on the SNES Emulator. How'd you tape down the attack button and bring the player's status to max status/level? lol I didn't see it at 0:29 but it showed at 0:49. =-) Great video, though!
@LinkNGCWii I can't remember, to be honest! I think I just found random heavy items in my room and piled them just right until it stayed put, then left it for awhile while the "turbo speed" button was being held =P took about...half an hour maybe?
Same here! Good lords we need more Ys around here...such a good series, and to miss out on it due to no releases? But hey, at least there's emulation, if anything!
So did you just leave the turbo on and found some sort of infinite respawn point or is there a trick that if you skip all the enemies till to that point it'll automatically give you max level?
If you go to my channel and go to my "Ys 3 walkthrough" playlist, there's a video I added called "Easy leveling in Ys 3" just go there and the video will give you full details on getting to max level.
that boss that shoots the sonic things you beat at 5:54 is really hard, my thumb hurts lol
i cant hit it without GETTING hit, half the time my attacks dont register, i thought maybe i missed something.. but your video just has you blasting through the pain because your level kajillion lol
i guess im gunna have to kill blobbs and grind till im much more than level 6 :(
Heh, my apologies for not being much help. The walkthrough here is more than anything for those who want to simply see the game, not for those who are having troubles beating it. But really, to beat her you just use what I did (duck down, rush, jump, and hit) just with more...finesse (ie. not getting hit like I did XD) I could have done it at normal levels, but I don't want to take up a crud-load of videos to finish the walkthrough.
lol salright, I got it eventually. it just took many tries because of the poor ..collision detection? (my sword would go through it without hurting it, or id get too close and get hurt)
eventually in the next level i taped down my Y button so that i continually attacked a resawning ..fireball-with-mouth ..sat the controller down for an hour and now im plowin through the game like you do here lol
well, like It says on my channel page, I'm currently having problems getting videos to render in vegas pro 8, so I'm holding off on the walkthrough until I can get it fixed.
ugh, I know, I kept trying to fix that problem for awhile. It's mainly a problem when making the exchange from recorded video to rendered video, but at the moment I'm more concerned about getting my program to render video's at all!

looks cool, but why is the screen of the game so small in the tv screen ? :O

ok, ty, but I realize that this is not the actually render of the game on TV + console. That's what I thought at the 1st time... XD
I just bought this on ebay for 5$. :) Hope this is good, the musics are cool anyway !

Of course, it's a great game! I myself lost my copy of the game, but thanks to the magic of emulators, I can play it again! heh

I'd always level up at the owls in Ilvern Ruins...they were nonstop xp :P
flugel76 3 years ago
Heh, true, however, it's a bit safer to level in tigray quarry (though the owls WERE faster at doing so :P)
Cellidor 3 years ago
Whoa, you actually levelled up all the way to the Max Level at the beginning of the game?!
CitanKainUzuki 3 years ago
Yeah, I give an explanation of it in my video "easy leveling in Ys 3".
I considered not doing the leveling thing, but I figured that the walkthrough would go smoother if I did.
Cellidor 3 years ago
Yeah I did it too. Just find a good position to kill enemies and hold the fast forward button.
JawlyRogers 3 years ago
exactly
Cellidor 3 years ago
Good point.
I usually spend time defeating those blue blobs in the Quarry. They give a fine amount of EXP.
CitanKainUzuki 3 years ago
That they do. During my younger years, I remember I would just keep training on them until I was about halfway to the max level, then continue on.
Though, heh, the way I did it here is probably the better choice for those with a lot of time on their hands....or a turbo button XD
