How do you *know* he knows how to fix the economy? What evidence do you have of this outside of his theories or diatribes?

Compare his arguments about the economy to the arguments of 9/11 conspiracy theorists. They both basically are based on criticizing "the official doctrine" then posing an alternate theory for which they have no credible evidence.

The only people who I trust to fix the economy are people who at the very least *UNDERSTAND* the $700bn bailout package.

With the gold standard there is no market. The gold standard is only appropriate for governmental systems that are closer to feudalism.

Finite money systems are useless for systems that want to promote massive growth (like the industrial revolution.) Without value building systems like fractional reserve banking countries go to war for any new resource found rather than simply creating their own value and buying it.

With gold alone you can't pay for food clothes & energy for 6 billion people.

I agree with you on many counts. Barack Obama is one of the most intellectually curious and visionary candidate I've seen. I've voted straight Democratic tickets for the last 12 years, but this is the first year that I've actually volunteered to work for a candidate. Tomorrow I'll be out in Philly canvasing for GOTV!

Thanks for this video, Paul. When you explain your vote for Nader as a motivation for the Democrats to improve their choice of candidates, I am slightly more understanding of your choice. I still don't think Kerry was that bad a candidate, and I am glad I voted for Kerry (and wish he had been elected), but I agree that Obama is vastly superior. I am very excited about the next eight years, and I can't wait to cast my vote tomorrow. I agree with you on the 2 McCains, as well. I liked him in 2000.

If I were American I'd be voting for McCain. Two reasons...

Many voted for third parties up here and the right wing conservator stayed in, though still in minority. The current UK government is supposed to be a 'socialist' govt'; though the nationalisation of NR was supported by all parties, obnly the details are disputed.

I think UK politicians have a history of less idealistic, more pragmatic policy, so it's no shame to adopt 'socialist' tactics if required.
