@Rikku2250 He's Irish, and Morgan (variants Morrigan, Morgaine, Morgana, etc) is a common name which means "Dweller by the sea, enchanter". Being an actor is certainly a method of "enchantment", but why would we be surprised? There have been many cases where an actor ended up in a part "right for him".

I know he is Irish, and, as for the name variations, I remember Morgaine from "Doctor Who" and "Le Morte De Arthur" (the compilation, not the “Merlin” episode). However, I did not know what it meant, so thank you :).

It's just the way he addresses his people xD He does it a lot in the cast diaries, like when he's filming them on the water ride and he gets told to turn his camera off but he says 'don't worry Merlin fans' and proceeds to not do as he is told :L
