The Main actor was also in The Warrior,but I'm glad he's in a film where he can really be the main character, in the film the Warrior he didn't get enough time on the film at all,it was a bit disappointing,especially when it's called the Warrior.So I definately wanna check this one out!

@moomoosborne First of all, it wasn't made in Hollywood this is a Korean film. Secondly, when a film is set in the feudal era and it's mythology of course its going to revolve around battles because most great stories from history and lore deal with fighting. Because when did you ever hear of a mythical story that didn't contain an epic battle or journey? Because ones that are not are very few and far between.

I definitely agree. Something about korean movies, they're so captivating and intense. I rarely experience that from a Hollywood film, which probably explains why Hollywood is remaking alot of Asian films nowadays.

@zacattack214 I've always thought that China does the best action but is hard to follow sometimes, Japan has the best style but suffers with Holywood style terrible choreography, and Korea has the biggest budget and nicest quality movies.

Thailand is also getting interesting lately but they mainly do present day movies rather than cultural history ones. Ong Bak 2 and 3 are alright though, they need more.

Just got done watching this movie and i was taken aback by its magnitude and beauty. The visuals alone are worth watching this film, but mixed with the deeply involving storyline and characters; and the artfully crafted script and breathtaking action sequences, this is a must-see. Any fans of Martial Arts epics such as Hero, Fearless, or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be equally as satisfied as fans of LOTR. My respect for Korean film, that started with Oldboy and The Host has risen.
