  • god that nearly blew my speakers and ears good song though

  • I remember Winifred Atwell...missed her playing for many years

  • ????????? ภาพอะไรครับ?

  • I wish I knew where any of her music for sale on CD. Better than Del Wood.

  • @kznte Try ebay or Amazon.....plenty of her music is available :-)

  • @kznte eBay.com.au item number s as follows. yes she had some great music. 290534305516, 250362917618, That one is in UK, 140620410242 that one in USA, 350461056330, also so in UK.. There are quite a few others h=there but that should help you, Glad to help. Gary

  • A truly remarkable pianist - how her fingers could move so fast with such accuracy is beyond me, and I don't reckon I'm too bad myself!! 11 out of 10 from me!!

  • Incredible. And she smiles all the time

  • @mikewoollett Thank you Mike, I'm glad you enjoyed it.Louis Prima was a rocket!

  • Stunning...none better...

  • Love that wink XD

  • good lord! her hands move faster than the speed of light, and she has the time to smile at the camera too!

  • Hey Mike, Thanks for posting our Winnie. You sound so much like her. 5***** I can't believe Harold, my boyfriend of long ago thought I sounded like this too.

It was one of the main reasons he married his "Little BOOGIE WOOGIE Country Queen," he said. ha I have been Joan Hollis Atwell for the past 38 years. Still tickling the ivories and loving it and much as you do.

    Your piano buddy,

Have your best day ever !

  • That's quite a compliment Joanie. Winnie will always be the best!! I'm still enjoying all your clips (especially "Happy Birthday") . Keep playing xoxo

  • You know that you can have left-handed guitars and golf clubs but what about pianos? I once bought left-handed darts but they were rubbish - not worth the extra money!

  • I have been thinking about that and you may be right, Oscar Peterson always impresses but there are other who are more fun

  • Definatley...Oscar Peterson is from a technical point of view, one of, if not the best pianist ever, but no-one can deny that this is fun to listen to :D

  • Loves that too!

    Thanks ptm51

  • much as I love this lady, the greatest recording of this tune must be by Art Tatum. Jelly Roll Morton explaining how he developed the tune from a French quadrill, on his Library of Congress recordings, is most informative if you can find a copy

  • Jelly-Roll Morton was a jazz great but he was also a terrible liar! Tiger Rag was composed by Nick LaRocca for the Original Dixieland Jass Band. It was the most recorded, and most plagiarized, jazz tune of the 78rpm era!

  • arts good but Honestly I think Winifred is more musical!

  • Mike- what is the last clip of Winnie from? I dont think i know that one?

  • That was from an interview she did around 1976.

  • i love it so much

  • Winnie is fantastic!!

  • This is one version of Tiger Rag I'd never heard but always wanted to. Thank you Mike for making my day.

  • You wont hear it played better! Merry Christmas.

  • Good to hear Winnie once again - keep posting these vids from the past they make great viewing. Regards David

  • Glad you enjoy them-Winnie will always be Number One! Merry Christmas

  • WOW 5 stars
