  • were did you get your flatline barrel im in canada so i wanna know if there are any websites i can visit

  • @itsZoHaNTV - Couldn't answer much for Canada, I'm in the States, sorry.

  • has anyone noticed that paintballers always hate on airsofters but airsofters leave paintballers alone?

  • @Eytchasketch109 No. I havent. Maybe because its not true.

  • @111thRutlandReapers well i was just saying, because paintballers are always calling airsofters pussies. but then airsofters dont really do anything back. i was just noticing because i play both, so watch vids of both

  • @Eytchasketch109 Alot of videos the airsofters start the fight and say that paintball isnt milsim enough and go crazy with that. Both players can be MAJOR douches at times. I'm a paintballer to the core, but I use to airsoft when I was younger. If you watch alot of paintball vids you'll see airsofters hating and vise versa. Its stupid because we're under the same category. We need to defend each other. Esp with laws coming in like that bill they wanted in Cali.

  • @111thRutlandReapers i tip my hat to you sir.

  • @Eytchasketch109 And I too you fellow

  • I havent used my gun inawhile i cant seem to get my barrel off of my gun HELP?

  • @909Kunfused909 i know its been awhile, what kind of barrel

  • how much dus dis cost

  • Can someone help is a flatline barrel better that an 18 inch barrel? (I'm shootint from 100 to 200 yards) :/

  • Boiling water = 212 degrees ...very hot tap water =120 degrees.

  • By utilizing the Magnus effect, it creats a straighter trajectory, and longer range. This helps in firing under low hanging branches at range, as well as distant targets.

  • Hey what does the flatline do like how does it help

  • @wUniTeDw It increases the range of your gun by about 100 feet (double for most guns)

  • Do I dump the whole thing in hot water?

  • @hot4art - Yup, you sure do.

  • Use a battle swab or similar.

  • what type of squeegee do I use?

  • @kanmashma He mentioned the swab squeegee, but the cable squeegee or any other squeegee should be fine. You're going to dump it in hot water to get the remaining residue out anyway.

  • 4 people must of bent their flatline barrel straight then watched this video XD

  • Hey i used a hard squegee and I think i took out that sand stuff inside? Anyway to fix this?

  • @TailPress09 - You'll need to contact Tippmann and see if they can help you on this one.

  • There a trick to turning the screw with the 3/32, mine is new so that is understandable and it does need to be adjusted but its hard to turn the screw

  • can you just put the barrel part in your gun?? wat I mean is do you have to have the cylinder body on it??

  • Thanks Mr. I learned a lot and I will take care of my Flatline. It was very educational. Now I know. :)

  • flatlines suck get an apex barrel

  • What is thing?

  • Can you clean the 98PS version the same way?

  • @snaicli - I get several requests for maintenance videos, like the 98 series barrels. The problem is that I can only film what I have, and I don't have the cash to go out and buy one. If you have one, I'd be willing to pay for shipping back to you. I can film it and have it shipped out within four days of receiving it. A few people have offered me this opportunity.

  • i got the shroud off and everything and im at the part where u have to unscrew the 2nd screw to line up the barrel and i catch the screw but it is SOOOO impossible to turn it i almost broke the tool it will not move at all also there is no notch on the barrel either, im really starting to hate this barrel

  • @SqueakyMafia - They may have changed how they made the barrel. If the screw is there, you could try some Liquid Wrench to loosen it.

  • i have a question i just got this barrel and just put this right in and it was really inaccurate im not sure if it was the wind but i heard people say u have to set the speed at like 275 and u said u have to set the line and u need good paint r these the only things u have to do and how do u set ur speed and how can u tell wat speed its at? please need help

  • @SqueakyMafia - Okay, if you don't know how to test the speed you are at, you MUST MUST MUST MUST get a chronograph. These are no longer very expensive, and hand-held ones can be purchased as low as $60. If you can't get one, use a friend's/teammate's. If nobody in your playing group has one, DO NOT PLAY. Cancel the day and and use that money to go buy a chronograph.

  • @SqueakyMafia - Second, there are a lot of details to think about, such as weather conditions, exact paint quality, the speed of the ball, your shooting position, etc. And I wouldn't set the chrono higher than 280, TOPS. 270fps is better.

  • @SqueakyMafia you really have to adjust the Flatline to whatever works best for YOU... so buy the best balls you can, and go outside and just adjust your velocity until you get your best grouping...

and the thing that might throw you off the most is if you use Co2. Co2 is disastrous for a flatline barrel. it's not only inconsistent, but it coats your barrel with snow. so if you're using Co2, either buy HPA, or give up on the flatline.

  • Airplanes dont roll

  • @maxmusk19 - That assumes that it takes a "roll" to create the Magnus effect. You're equating one to the other, and that's not true. The roll of the ball is simply ONE METHOD of attaining the Magnus effect. Planes attain it by wing shape (more curved on the top than the bottom) and speed.

  • i still don't know one thing are a5 barrles smaller than 98 barrels

  • @TheJourney01 - Depends. Smaller in what way? Bore size? No, as they both have varying bore sizes more dependent upon the manufacturer of the barrel, not the marker itself. Length? No, because they both have varying length options. Outter diameter? Again, more dependent upon the barrel manufacturer, not the marker.

  • that flatline makes the ball spin backwards because of the curve in the barrel. which makes it travel farther

  • My brother recently gave me his tippmann a5 with flatline barrel and I was wondering what exactly does it do and what can i do to make it a better gun?

  • Does the 98 flatline fit one the project salvo without taking off the salvo shroud?

  • Can't answer that one. Never owned a 98, nor the Salvo.

  • @lamborghini959 i guess you could, all you really have to do is take off the tube, but the thing is that the adapter is still there, i have a project salvo

  • Comment removed

  • @lamborghini959 no it doesnt. i have a project salvo and both kinds of flatlines on my 98's. the salvo shroud goes straight. the quickthread flatline and old one jus get stuck. jus buy an apex

  • i just got a tippman a5 what barrel should i get and how much money would it be, and should i get a stock for it

  • whats the ranche that unescrew the second screw???

  • really grinds my gears when ppl call it Hex Wrech..

    :P

  • @TechFitzpb yeah me too, its an allen wrench, not hex wrench lol

  • i have an adapter for my slg. I have a flatline on my Slg its sweet.

  • Great video, very useful in showing what the Flatline is, and how to maintain it.

  • does the flatline help your a5s acruacy

  • BIG TIME! it will get more more range to!

  • ok i have the flatline for my a5 and it keeps chopping paint and my a5 is only shooting up to 23o fps why do u think its doing that

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • when i bought my a5 i had no idea about the flatlines curve and i thought it was bent to shit, then i looked it up found this and BAM thanks!

  • Why would u need to turn it?

  • It's amazing how simple the flatline is when you take it apart and examine it.

  • I jizz THUNDER!!!

  • and were gonna screw this boy together

  • LOL

  • the way he says it at 4:40 is soo funny haha

  • that was funny

  • how much did the flat line cost

  • they're about $100, i'm looking into one [for my A-5] with battle shrouds at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. yep, 4 of em... ;)

  • well i've used the flatline as well and for that bit it goes farther you loose alot of accuracy! so i think it doesnt really give you an advantage...

  • cheak out my video on flatline accuracy test (mid rang)

  • flatline

  • which is better flatline barrel or straight line

  • you cant compare those two!

    1. Flatline is for distance, not so much accuracy, but it does OK.(I own one)

    2. Straightline is made purely for accuracy. Now I havent tested it, but based on details from tippmann I can make these assumptions

If you're looking for a great accuracy barrel I recommend the Lapco Snapshot barrel!

  • well flatline is more distance straight line is more accurate

  • does this make it curve or go farther

  • curve

  • curve..? thats the Apex barrel...

    flatline makes it go farther!

  • Go farther

  • can i put a flatline barrel on my alpha black

  • yea put you need one of those 5$ addaptots

  • a flatline for my A5 is it going to work fine with e grip?

  • which one is better? apex on bravo one with cyclone feed and e grip. or A-5 with just flatline nothing else..

  • I personally prefer the Apex barrel over the Flatline.

  • thanks turns out that i got A-5 with H.E E-grip instead but im getting apex m16 and carstock and lapco M4 mag for bday

  • Sounds like a good deal :) Good luck

  • does this fit on a piranha?

  • no, it has a special adaptor plate that fits only on the A-5

  • k, i have saw these on many tac-5's so idk??

  • there are different flatlines for different guns

  • by any chance would there be a make for a piranha?

  • fuckg piece of shat barrel and they charge so much for it they are THIEFS FUCKG FAGGOTS

  • Nice Vid

    Very Informative :)

  • hey whats better a nightstick or a flatline please reply

  • flatlines increase range by about 100ft, while nightsticks claim to increase accuracy (i have nothing to verify this though). Personally, I prefer the flatline because there's nothing better in woodsball than being in range of a guy that can't reach you.

  • how about all those ppl saying flatline sux couse of its poor accuracy?

  • they most likely haven't put it on correctly for their gun. Or they could be talking about it at close range since I heard it get's a little inaccurate at close range but then again, who needs high accuracy when the enemy is standing 15 feet away?

  • haha i dnt kno , i won one only played wit it once tho and it wasnt acurate at all short/long distance , but i think i found out the reason(finnaly aftr bunch of research) i think my fps was set wayyy 2 high i read on a5og site its gota b around 250-260 fps for a flatline mine was max that field alllowed so 280-290 , and i broke like 50 balls lol,

  • hey i got a question why do flatline barrels increase the range soo much?

  • it puts a backspin on the ball

  • i have the flatline on my a5 stealth. but if i wanted to throw on a different barrel do you kno how i would go abt doing that. cus on my a5 there are no grooves to screw in an upgraded barrel (cus it came with the flatline). Thanks

  • barrel adapter

  • why does my flatline barrle keep comeing out of the holder in the miidle of the game.

  • this thing is so simple yet so expensive thats why i like my apex. cheaper, lighter, and ajustable

  • so is it actully necesary to take the cylinder cover thing off before you dunk it in hot water? plz message me the answer.

  • Message inbound.

  • wow i learned somthing i new it went farther but not y it hits the top cool

  • does this flatline fit the bt4 assult or is there a flatline for the bt4 assult at all i want one one there

  • there are only flatlines for the a5 x7y and 98c. for the bt4 go for the apex much cheaper, more versitile, and lighter.

  • On the bt4 you can use a A-5 barrel adapter, and replace that with the flatline barrel, it should work, but you should check into the apex, it's pretty nice,

  • Maybe its just me, but I'm having a lot of trouble taking my flatline barrel off my A-5. The only way I can get it off is taking apart the gun.

  • yeah thats pretty much the only way to take it off

  • Agreed. While it's annoying, loosening the receivers of your marker is sometimes a boon. That means that the barrel is tight and won't shake loose in a game. Frankly, I'd prefer that to my loose-as-a-hooker flatline adapter.

  • what is the cheapest paint that the flatline won't destroy. I'll be honest, im not the richest.

  • i dont know but apparently cryptic works pretty good. i dont think it is too expensive if you get it on the internet

  • No one answer to that. In some climates, Stingers work excellent. In others, they are crap. Pretty much the only way to find out is to try it in your area with your marker.

  • Noticed how long ago the video was posted but i had a few questions. First off does the flatline actually shoot farther then a conventional barrel? Second, could you possibly make a video showing this? Shot some rounds with a regular barrel, shot a different color with the flatline, and show where the different shots landed. It would be greatly appreciated before make my barrel choice. Nice video btw, I could actually hear you compared to most other videos.

  • Yes, it shoots farther than a straight barrel. There is a proven scientific method on how this is accomplished (using the Magnus Effect - same reason a plane stays airborne). Right now, I can't do the video, as I don't have a place to film it, currently.

  • I know why it should work, not to sound cocky but, I'm a senior double major mechanical aeronautical engineer. It's just that we always learn there is a difference between theory and reality. I just wanted to see a video to see if there is a substantial increase in distance. Keep it in mind if you do get a place to film, or once it gets warmer. Once again nice job on the vid.

  • it creates a back spin on the ball wich in theory will keep the ball up longer but its proven now so no more theory and its like playing pool put the back spin on the ball and it comes back but this paintball is in the air so it stays up longer

  • if you took of the shroud and played without it could you damage the barrel

  • It's always possible to damage the barrel. But the flatline is not alone in that. ANY barrel could be damaged, if the conditions are right (wrong?). The shroud doesn't protect it much from anything but simple dings and the like.

  • thats a barrel. that looks more like a muffler

  • No, it looks like a barrel with a shroud.

  • would you be able to use a sqweegee on the flatline barrel?

  • no, not the squeegees. You could use the furry ones though. If you use a squeegee, you could (over time) destroy the sand blasted surfaces.

  • why doesnt it just screw on?

what if you broke a ball, you wouldnt be able to clean it

  • ...did you even watch the whole video?

  • Because it needs a perfect vertical alignment to work properly. This cannot be consistently achieved with a threaded system.

  • never mind, I did it when I got the barrel inscrewed, watched the X7 tutorial.

  • I would like a video of how to install it aswell for the first time. I've loosened the three front screws as in manual, but i dont understand what to do next, I cannot turn it right or left.

  • I need help. What would be the best way to get the barrel off of a stuck rear adapter plate? The scribe mark is not aligned and i can twist it or pull it off. Please respond

  • what i meant to say is "i CANT twist of pull it off."

  • First thing I gotta ask is if you loosened the screw at the top of the adapter? If so, then try using a strap wrench and penetrating oil to loosen it. If you haven't loosened the screw, then...well...

  • Thanks for that info, but does the flatline barrel cut down on range?

  • its the opposite, it gives you more range 250 ft total.

  • flatline i a good barrel but the only thing i have problems with is the kinds of balls you wanna use you cant go to wal mart and buy their balls that work good with the flatline that is why i prefer the apex it works good with any ball and you dont have to worry about the valocity and never use monster ball in any of your guns their peices of shit

  • will the a-5 flatline barrel fit onto a BT-4 Assault?

  • I do not know. I haven't had a chance to mess with the BT4 series.

  • Apex or Flatline?

  • how well does a 98compared to this in distance?

  • Do you mean a 98 with a flatline installed? Too many details needed to answer properly, and it's not really a calculable deal. But GENERALLY most people report a longer range with the 98C flatline.

  • ok is a Flatline Barrel of a 20in barrel better for like rang and groping

  • Flatline will be better for range. A 20" barrel is a waste of gas, as is anything over 14" or so.

  • did you have a cold or a runny nose when you made this? cuz you are like "snuffling" alot

  • wat kind of barrel do u recommend for a A-5???

  • omg lol a flatline

  • Apex with lapco 14" bigshot bbarrel

  • flatline by far

  • this helps dude thanks im thinking of getting a a-5 with flatine and stock remote line etc.

  • wich is better for an A-5??? flatline or APEX

  • Neither one is really better in all cases. You have to consider cost, features, appearances, etc. Most will consider the APEX better, but not all.

  • Do they make silencers for paint ball markers?

  • Some individuals have, but none are commercially made. Making one yourself is an illegal act, and can get you in trouble with the ATF. The only way around that is to permanently attach it to the paintball marker (notice I said "marker", not "barrel"). This means you can NEVER take off the barrel.

    In other words....don't.

  • ya but it retarded

  • Very informative ^_^ 5/5 stars ^_^

  • No. If you see when I take the shroud off, the barrel tube is quite curved. Look inside the bore, and you will find it's rough, not smooth.

  • isn't the flatline barrel just a regular barrel, just with a shroud on it???

  • Oh no, it is a curved barrel that puts backspin on the ball to increase your range from 150ft to 250ft.

  • I shot a hole through a basket ball gold with my flatline and response trigger. Flatline will knock the crap out of you.

  • ive never been a fan of auomatic fire... i stick with semi... lol... i can trigger really fast seems like it auto...but yea hats just me....and thnx for the vid ...it helped alot... i didnt know what that mark of the barrel was... keep makin vids

  • I have a question i have an A5 with an E grip and when i go to cock the gun it won't cock. but when i put my original trigger it cocks just fine. what should i do.

  • Try checking your sear.

  • what is a sear......? (sorry about the question)

  • After putting my flatline in hot water (just hot from tap not boiling). I used a battle swab and a squeegee to dry off the water on the inside but I noticed that some sand and what looks like the stuff from the inside of the barrel came off. And the inside of the barrel seems smoother. Is this going to cause any problems with the Flatline's performance?

  • It may or may not. Depends on how much came off. If you find it does affect the performance, contact Tippmann to have the barrel re-sandblasted.

  • can u make a vid on how to install the flatline i cant get it right

  • i'm having the same problem, i just can't get it right

  • Great vid man.

would a flatline and an e grip be a good match for my a-5?

  • flatline is the best

  • flatline is the best

  • On my flatline when i install it the shell of the gun doesnt close all the way near the sight. I also cannot get the sight screw to go in all the way. Any suggestions?

  • Can the screw tighten at all, or is it not gripping the threads?
