l have a love bird just like yours, but when ever l try to teach her something she doesn't really pay any attention, and she doesn't really like any particular sort of treat, could you please tell me what you train your lovebird with? btw, that is SO adorable! you must spend alot of time with.. uhh.. him/her :)
Oh, having him allow you to touch him is step 1. When I got him, he used to open his mouth whenever I put my finger close to his beak. All I did is get close with one finger, reward him with a treat, get closer, if he opens his mouth, don't reward him. You kind of have to feel it out. Anyway, eventually you work your way toward touching the top of his beak and then his head. Then he realizes that he enjoys head massages and he's all yours. I can grab him like a baseball now and he's fine.

@allys1101 Millet is what I use. He's crazy about that and he also loves dried figs (for the seeds)

How did you train him? I've had my lovebird for I think 13 years and he never lets us grab him.
