The IMF and WB are the extended imperial arms of the US and EU. They need to be disbanded and true help needs to be given to poor countries, not just aid that keeps them dependent on the Euro and Dollar. The current recession shows how disasterous deregulation can be for economies and the flow of money. Thanks to lack of control those fools in Wallstreet created this crisis and they should all be publically hung for this, together with those who removed the controls.
Actually, the FED would want the world to slash interest rates as they did but instead Europe has been resistant, keeping it's rates high where they should be. Nobody is following the US through their mess, if anything the world is looking to countries like France or even better, Canada to see efficient working balances between free market capitalism and government regulation and coordination.

Make all elected leaders live off the mean average income of their constituents while in office...and live off their average pension package when they retire. Tune them in REAL good to the plight of the average man.
