  • ...Eh...I'm just going to ignore this argument...I can't exactly decide which side I'm on...I kinda like the way things are going in the USA...But I kinda have a interest in some things happening in china or Russia...Eh...

  • am i the only one who listens to this because i like the song and not because Bethesda used the soundtrack from this in their trailer?

  • If you're ever in a warzone, plug in some headphones and listen to this.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, I certainly did not expect these comments, but while you are on the subject, communism makes for lazy people. I have been in former Soviet countries, and the difference even now is astounding.

  • Comment removed

  • and let me guess china or Russian

  • insulting right with your enslavement complete government control and chaos

  • like china

  • republicans are communist

  • @account842 I am a communist and find that insulting

  • @RedOctober1922 suck my cock communism is a lie

  • @account842 if anything is a lie its libertarianism and consumerism. Its a way to destroy the government and open the public up for another kind of oppression, oppression by production owners

  • @RedOctober1922 how is that a lie and look at you complete government control

  • @account842 Because consumerism and libertarianism claim to bring individual freedom. You know what happened the last time the US tried libertarianism? A time many americans forget, the guilded age. Probably the worst time for the American worker in history. And consumerism claims to work for the consumer, but it makes only the producer profit and further exploits the worker. Thats why their a lie. Communism is straight forward about its ideals. No more religion, greed, or inequality

  • @RedOctober1922 your communist country's aren't doing so well in fact they are doing worse. with the government in control the people don't get a say in things why do you think there are less communist country's now

  • @account842 and @RedOctober1922 stop stop stop, your both wrong and you are both horrible people for arguing over nothing.

consumerism and libertarianism are alive today and bitching about it doesn't make then anymore right or wrong, so please, shut the fuck up and deal with it

  • @happyorks1 your an ass

  • @account842 pot calling the kettle black

  • @account842 im an american, i dont care about other communist countries and the ways of the east are not compatable with us westerners. Communism, seriously, is about bringing down oppressive forces trying to harm the workers that own their own labour. I dont see anything wrong with that

  • @RedOctober1922 Hmm, if you don't see anything wrong with communism; do some research on the atrocities of the Soviet Union, or even in China and North Korea; the system sounds great, but human nature conflicts with it.

  • @Tomaszavenger i know very well what happened in the soviet union, china, and north korea. I say again that totalitarian countries dont represent communism as a socio political system. But if you want to talk about that, look at the US and Britain. Britain enslaved millions during its empire days and the US still commits atrocities of imperialism in Korea, Japan, and other affected countries.

  • @Tomaszavenger thank you finally your not a bigot

  • @account842 Sorry, but you're wrong. Ideological communism is great, almost utopian.

I live in post-soviet country (Republic of Poland) and I can see it everyday. Polish people's mentality changed after the soviet era. No one is nice to each other. Everybody cares only about his ass. (After 23 years!) This is communism. Not the fine parades, where everyone is smiling while handling hammer and sickle. Number of victims made by communism is about 100 milion people. Most of them died from hunger.

  • @RedOctober1922 how do you explain what the Russians did to the Koreans in ww2. pretty much enslaved them.

  • @account842 im not a fucking russian. Im an american, tell me one american communist that did something other than help civil rights in the country aside from big bill haywood

  • @RedOctober1922 help civil rights how are you a tea party member

  • @account842 im not in the tea party..

  • @RedOctober1922 then what are you

  • @account842 did you not read my first comment, where i stated that it was insulting to me that you called republicans communists because theyre fascists.

  • @RedOctober1922 but still why do you live in the us why not a other country

  • @account842 because im not going to abandon my native country, i try to reform it by being part of the collective of politically active worker ants

  • @RedOctober1922 I've read the discussion and would like to give my input on it, it is quiet interesting. While I appreciat your interest in philosophie I have to point out that communism is flawed in practice and in theory. Communism does always lead to destruction and suffering because it's a anti-individual system. In a fair society only those that work get something, that is fair. No one has the right to take from others, especially not the state.

  • @RedOctober1922 ha what now even jazzgalaxie agrees with me what do you thing of that bigoted son of a bitch.

  • @account842 are you 10 years old? you talk like one...

  • @RedOctober1922 what don't want to be enslaved

  • stop congress censoring the internet please

  • i loved fallout 3, it got me into this kind of music

  • @RedOctober1922 Hell yeah, me too.

  • I woohoo I can't wait for fallout 4 in san fransico

  • THIS IS WHY I BLEW UP MEGATON

  • Fallout > Call of Duty, easily.

  • @alternateGRAMMAR Obvious statement there ;) Can't wait for Bethesda to release some stuff on the new Fallout project:)

  • @Norco5327 With the gfx of Skyrim and RAGE?

    I, honestly, CANNOT wait.

  • Love doing V.A.T.S with it lol

  • I OWN THE CAPITAL WASTELAND WITH THIS

  • Like if F3 brought you here.

  • i love that era a time when men were men and women were women, jobs were available, and cars still had style.

  • OMG Fallout 3!!!!!!

  • @m2005g No SHIT Sherlock!

  • And the Eyebot gets shot...

  • @kirbyks bob's brother bing sung this song before bob did.

  • this music fits perficly to fallout3! ;)

  • This is has to be my favorite song of all time!!

  • hell back then they didnt even think about locking there doors. now you have to have a gun!.....+ the lock!

  • Its perform both brothers.

  • This isn't Bob Crosby it's his brother Bing Crosby.

  • @joey4245 It's Bob.

  • @joey4245 It`s Robert "Bob" Crosby, Sir. I bought the CD.

  • @JazzGalaxie its George Robert "Bob" Crosby :)

  • Comment removed

  • @JazzGalaxie Hi, what exact cd is this song on?

Im desperately trying to track this down on cd but I am unable to find it.

Also what can I expect to pay?

  • @TexianPride buy it from iTunes

  • @account842 I dont use digital media, or whatever :)

I want to put it on my xbox so I can listen to it while I play

  • @account842 Would Bob want you to be giving your money to Apple rather than him? I vote alternate sources. Or a CD. :D

  • @joey4245 It's a common mistake people often make when comparing Bing (Harry) Crosby to his older brother George as they sound identical but George lacks the vocal range of his younger brother.

  • @joey4245 i think it was his brother wrote it or something like that

  • Believe it or not, years from now these will be "The Good Old Days".....keep living

  • Man I was born 60 years too late

  • @awesomedude222 I second that! My best friend and I have felt the same way for our entire lives! XD

  • I listen to this track while playing TF2. Pip-boy+other stuff+this song = awesome TF2 gameplaying. I also play other of Bob Crosby and the Bobcats' other tracks.

  • Fallout helped me discover how good this kind of music is!!! Now I look it up all the time.

  • Im here because of fallout 3, suck it.

  • i say this people who say that back in the day was better see it in there own prospectiv in that catacory but if you look back i see that it was worse it only seems better becous they didn't had the problems they had then still i would live vacaion for one week there so i can see hwo alot of our problems weren't there

  • we ahve to send this music to the world

  • All this arguing over whether things were better back then than right now (and the people "back then" who made the same arguments, usually in old folks' homes, about even further back) brings to mind four simple words:

    "War. War never changes."

  • @SimuLord I support those people's statements, and I do believe I'm not in an old folks' home.

  • never liked this music untill fallout 3

  • @Withdrawnmurder45 Canada became a country in 1867...

  • I miss classical music like this

  • @TheShirukenNinja I would say this is classic music, not classical. I think of the 18th century composers when I hear classical.

  • @DisturbedFallacy Yea I diidn't mean classical like Mozart or Bach, I had meant classic.

  • I'm addicted to this song...No surprise I suppose

  • for ppl who think as Nova it is true soceity was good back then, ppl trusted

each other more. HOWEVER there were and always have been pedophiles

there was awful racism, there was war and poverty. Ppl probably thought

that some of their artists of the day probably thought of them as crap.

There was prostitution as well, there was alchole which eventually lead to

the prohibition many problems back then just as there are today.

  • You know, strangely, supermutant roars and ghoul shrieks accent this nicely. :p

  • fuck nowadays......this is best.....

  • this is so much better than modern music this song has a point songs today dont have any point to them music is shit nowadays

  • i wonder how it was back than, i think better.

  • @steventrigt2 Well lets see, there was World War II, along with the depression that followed. There followed the rise of the Ink Spots, Bob and Harry (Bing) Crosby and Dorothy Harris, the Road to Singapore (a film featuring Bing Crosby and Bob Hope), in '47 proceedings of the U.S. Congress are televised for the first time and the Canadian Citizenship Act comes into effect (Canada becomes a country), '59 brought the death of Billie Holiday and the rest already plays out.

  • @WiredrawnMurder45 Correction: Dorothy Harrison Eustis, along with Morris Frank. Eustis’ legacy has been long-lasting. Her work helped spawn guide-dog schools in the United States and around the world, and also paved the way for using service animals to help people with all kinds of disabilities. Because The Seeing Eye refused to see its students as charity cases, Eustis is also credited with helping to change public attitudes toward the disabled.

  • I wonder if any the musicians from this games soundtrack could have even imagined that in many years on that they would be in a video game known as fallout 3?

... probably not, they wouldn't have even had video games back in their day and age.

  • This music was from an era where people were true to the Old American Dream, when people went to bars listening to nice swing music, instead of shitty Justin Bieber music, when people had true pride and discipline, when there were no pedophiles, when we were in our age of prosperity. Now look what happened, we are the epitome of hypocrisy, and we are no longer true towards the American Dream.

  • @NovaCola6 You seem to have based the current disillusionment of the american dream entirely contemporary musical culture. Do you really think that is a fair evaluation of your country's motivation?

    Peace from Britain.

  • @SwingStu Well said.

  • @NovaCola6 Nicely spoken. People need to get back on the right path.

  • @JazzGalaxie Just wait till the year 2077

  • @NovaCola6 Everything about that era was perfect except the racism... that is my only gripe

  • @NovaCola6 Pedofiles existed always , just back then they weren' t so obvious as now.

  • @grafather lol

  • @NovaCola6 There have been pedophiles, rapists and evil all of human history. It's not because of the days we live in today. The "Good Ol' Days" never existed.

Funny how people always think what came before is so much better then what is at present.

  • @VisigothViking People will always look back on the past with the nostalgia goggles on. This music came around the same time as World War II, not exactly fuzzy happy times.

  • @VisigothViking It often IS you fucking troll. Get your relativity and your god damned science and shove it as far as it will go up your ass you fake fuck. Today is open indecency and much lacking in firm discipline.

  • @Pyrus33 I'm not a troll, because i wasn't trying to start an argument or a debate. You know, with out science, you wouldn't be looking at this computer screen. And it's funny, you're accusing today's world of 'open indecency' and yet you're spouting out the word 'fuck' like a vulgar MG-42.The present is much better than the past, actually.

  • @VisigothViking I don't care for it. It's chips and electricity and if it wasn't this it would be a radio. To you I suppose. Then to each his own.

  • @VisigothViking,

It's just style. Most people were poor back then by today's standards for America so they wanted to see an idealized America for entertainment.

It's the opposite today where we have reality shows and post-grunge that shows dysfunction. Although, I will say that our standard of living has declined some since the dot-com crash in the late 1990s. I blame college costs.

  • @VisigothViking Back then, all of the ills of modern society weren't thrown in your face 24/7 like they are today, unless you count the constant nuclear threat from the Communists post World War II. Life before the mid-60's seems so much better because of the simplicity.

  • @VisigothViking

Well, not much, but still. At least music, cars and apparel were nicer.

  • @SignorThomasino True.

  • @VisigothViking Because it was. Yes, there have been evils - but nowhere near what there are today. If you honestly thing the 1940s, 50s, etc were no better then modern times, your an idiot.

  • @Ocelllian2 Uhm, hello? Racial bigotry, homophobia and blind conservatism? Sorry dude, but you're suffering from an extreme case of overblown nostalgia.

  • @VisigothViking Sorry to burst your bubble, but racial bigotry, homophobia, and blind conservatism (as though thats a bad thing... lol) are still plenty common today. You tell me this: on average, how many swear words do most 1950s and 40s songs contain? How many references to sex, drugs, or violence do they contain? You can do the same with movies, radio programs, whatever else you like - I guarantee you there'll be less references to said evils then there are now.

  • @Ocelllian2 So if there is less reference to something in the media, that means there is less of the thing itself? LOL! There was just as much sex, drugs, and crime as there is today, if not more. The Italian mob still held a large amount of influence. There were still prostitution rings, drug dealers, and loan sharks. And yes, those things are still a problem today- but at least people are starting to take a stand against them.

  • @VisigothViking The media defines a time's culture. Your statement that there was just as much then is probably false, and I see no evidence of people taking a stand against such things. 90% of the nostalgia on these vids is for the music/movies/culture of the times not the times themselves. 40s music, movies, and fashion are better then today's music, movies, and fashion, but does that mean I want to live in the 40s? Not nessarily.

  • @NovaCola6 you may use big words, but that was the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  • @Guitar123Colt not at all you are stupid he has a great point

  • @NovaCola6 The only part that sucks about this era is that we were MUCH less tolerant towards other races >P If I were white I would have loved to live back then.

  • @NovaCola6 wat. Pedophiles have existed since the dawn of mankind. People just don't repress when they get molested like they did back then. Everything is just out in the open these days.

  • @NovaCola6 There was always pedophilia.

    I agree with everything else.

There's something masculine and charming about that era.

  • @NovaCola6 There was also racism, extreme prejudiced against against almost everyone who wasn't a white straight Christian/Catholic, and rampant uniformity and conformity. The old ways aren't perfect and neither are ours. I'm sure we agree on one thing though; the music was a damn sight better.

  • @jadencore I see no real difference between what you said and society today.

  • @DisturbedFallacy Thats kind of the point I was trying to make.

  • @jadencore Point taken then. xD

  • @jadencore Only one US American president was catholic, so you`re wrong there. Also you have to understand something. If you wish to go back to that time you are okay with the customs of back than. I don`t mean I support racism, I wouldn`t be racist. I just want to live in a culture with diffrent values. Simple as that.

  • @NovaCola6 There were definitely still pedophiles.

  • @NovaCola6 although i mostly agree, let's face it; there were pedophiles, and there was hypocrisy and rotten things in peoples hearts. plus people in bars don't listen to justin bieber. at least not the bars i go to. we listen to the cramps and the aggrolites.

  • @NovaCola6 I just have to ask what is american dream to you

    ?

  • @MattiGatz The "American Dream" is a concept of society in which every man, no matter where he is from or what he believes in, can reach everything with hard work.

  • @NovaCola6 Yeah, good ol' McCarthyism.

  • @NovaCola6 ONE WORD..AGREED!

  • Comment removed

  • @NovaCola6 I AGREE SO STRONGLY AND IAM AUSTRALIAN

  • @NovaCola6 i wish we could go to them "simple" times

  • @NovaCola6 I agree, but "no pedophiles?" Of course there were pedophiles! People just didn't talk about it. It was more of a vigilante justice system back then.

  • THIS SONG KICKS ASS

  • @TheMightyElo i have not heard this song on F3

  • @FatBastard1510 That's because it was sadly cut from the game. It was on the E3 trailer, but was cut later on. I have no idea why, but Bethesda probably had their reasons.

  • @stratafilms It can't be licensing reasons.....because they managed to use it on the Trailer, right?

  • @attackman456 Correct. Maybe they just didn't like it, although I can't see why they wouldn't...

  • @TheMightyElo fuckin yeah
