I would never never have thrown a live guinea pig. NEVER.. yes they were quite dead when i threw them. I feel bad when i think of when i threw them, but I was overwhelmed- like all of them were dying and one after another.. and there was no where to burry them, and mongooses were digging them up anyways. so yea..
My cavy died today. I only had him for three years. I woke up and he was dead in his cage. I don't know what happened. But I can see him trying to get out to save himself. Fuck! I am drinking myself into oblivion and crying. It is fucking sad. :(
Trust me, I raised guinea pigs myself, not my cousins mom! It was quite a shocker to me, but yes indeed, she ate them! There were little baby guinea pig body parts all over the place, and mommy was munching on one of their little heads when I came in. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction!
I can't vouch for how legitimate this story is, but I can confirm that I have seen a guinea pig (when I was a kid, before we knew you could neuter/spay them) eating her newborn. Except it was still-born, so that's a little different.
(Costs me about $80 to neuter a guinea pig nowadays, by the way - might want to look into that next time).
