  • I just bet he was on that sofa for like hours, I also bet he was waiting to go to the toilet half the time, hence he is trapped on the sofa. By one very tired cute little fur ball.

  • Awwwwwwwww!

  • You ve got to love these adorable blue ruskis, I had one for 12 years , still miss the little guy.

Freud was his name, my girlfriend who is a psychologist had named him.

  • SOOOOO ADORABLE!!!!!

  • Im so sorry to hear about your cat. My cat recently ran away and I've been feeling depressed everyday. But what matters is the great memories that we shared and I can always recall them when I miss my cat. Same goes to you, you will never forget the greatest moments you shared with your late cat.

  • Proof cats rule the world. HOW many times have cat owners stayed still, barely breathing 'cause their cat was comfortably sleeping on them? OMG, we don't do that for our babies. Baby is sleep? Getting heavy? Pick him up, put him in bed. Not the cat, no sirree. We'll sit there until our limbs go numb...and love every minute of it. LOL And WOE unto anyone who comes in with noise. "Shhh, the kitty's sleepin!"

  • Ultra cute!!! I want one too :(

  • thats uncomfortable

  • I think this race do the nexk sleeping , cause our cat do the same thing when she was little and many others i've herad doing that.Beautiful anyways

  • how qute

  • My kitten (now 8 years old) loved crawling up on my neck and under my hair. She used to crawl there whilst I was asleep too and I'd wake up to a little kitten massage on the back of my neck when she started paddling! She still tried it now she's older and the paddling is not so much of a massage as it is chinese torture lmao.

  • cute

  • did you spend almost ten grand in money on a creature? money that could have gone to brown children with missing appendages?

  • my cat did the same thing when he was a kitten he's gray to

  • I know the feeling of losing a small furry friend. It really sucks to be honest.

  • hmm. he makes a cute scarf =D

  • My russian blue LOVED to sleep on my neck when she was a baby. She's almost 10 and still loves to snuggle with her mommy.

  • It looks like he had eight great years ...That is what is important

  • As someone who has had to put a cat down because of sickness, I know the pain of which you speak, and yes it is like a knife wound. We had a Siamese mix that would curl up on our necks, I think he liked the warmth lol. For some people cats are simply pets, for others like me and yourself they're family members. So awesome that Kevin has many of the same traits as Mike. We have an orange tabby with white "fingers and toes" that acts alot like our departed Siamese. Much love to you sir

  • CUTE!!!!!^^

  • Oh , your Mike was a beautiful Kitten , but the time for you and Mike is done now... i'm sooo bad , you are lost this lovely Cat .

Sorry , my english is not so good , i hope you can understand me .

  • the kitteh is holding his daddy down and not letting him up.

  • He was so beautiful. I'm sorry for your loss.

  • Awww he was so adorable and precious :) I'm so sorry for your loss :(

  • My heart couldn't take that much cuteness lol aww..my cat used to do that when it was a kitten..it use to sleep under our necks lol dno why!

  • Okay, why didn't you put the camera down and blow razzberries on his belleh? :D

  • What a little blessing from god! My russian blue does the same thing, god has blessed the world with russian blue kittys!!!

  • i have a blue russian and there wonderful cats zelda will be 23 yrs old this july and far as i can tell shows no sign of slowing down shes still mean as ever just cant hear or see any more still gets around good long as i dont move stuff around in the room and from what ive read they are right the breed is usely a one person cat she hates strangers but with me shes a love bug

  • I have a blue Russian! And your cat is spool cute!

  • I lost my first Russian Blue (a rescue cat) to cardiomyopathy in 1985 at the age of seven, my second to lymphoma at almost 18. I still grieve their passing. My thoughts and best wishes to you both on your loss of dear Mike. What a blessing he was for the short time he was with you! May Kevin enjoy many, many years of good health and happiness with your family.

  • Looks like you're not getting up anytime soon!

  • As far as I know it is one of the most loyal cats out there.

  • mii gato hacia lo mismo cuado dormiaa!! pero ya crecio y ya no me qiere.. ya busca mis piernas hahaha

    <3

  • Adorable video :) I'm sorry to hear that he is no longer with you. My own cat passed about 8 months ago at the age of 10, likely due to cardiomyopathy as well... so I understand your pain. I hope your new kitty is doing well :)

  • cat scarf

  • is it specific to the Russian lue to have funny poses when sleeping since I had one to and it had funny poses when sleeping

  • my Russian Blue is named Persia and shes almost 3 months old now when we adopted her she was 8 weeks and she still likes to sleep on our necks. To cute and lately she falls asleep if we move her she meows like a baby till we settle down again and she can curl up on our necks again.

  • thats cool man,i love cuddling with my cats too!

  • hahaha very sweet :D

  • awww sorry

  • my cat has a blocked heart valve but he is still fine and healthy

  • Are you going to put up any vids of Kevin? I'd love to see them.

  • At eight years of age, he succumbed to heart valve trouble and after spending ten days in the emergency clinic and dropping $8300, we had to let him go. It was the saddest day of our lives. It hurts like a knife wound.

Within a year, however, we found ANOTHER Russian kitten - again, at the local animal shelter. Please email me for more info.

  • @discuscd so sorry -- he looked absolutely lovely. sweet and beautiful

  • @discuscd POOR THING!!!! That does hurt ALOT!!

  • @discuscd Oh my goodness. I had same experience a while ago with my first very personal Russian Bue. She was 4 months when I purchased her from a breeder and died 2 weeks later. I was devastated. I got another one from another breeder and she is now 7 years old. She is petite and so gentile! She behaved like in the video when she was a baby. So adorable, so heartwarming. Today, she cuddles only with me, and follows me room to room!!! Like a puppy!, sleeps under the blankets next to me!

  • @discuscd I do understand your pain and loss.. my big Russian Blue boy "Squeaky" died unexpectedly, but I would have done anything for him to keep him around.. I've been a cat person my entire life and he was the second-most well behaved, loving, tolerant and generally wonderful cat I've ever met. The first-most that I refer to is the Siamese cat who mothered me like I was her own kitten while I grew up.

  • @discuscd 8300 dollars!?!?! You must be rich.

  • @discuscd I'm so sorry. I was watching Mike's vid 2 ys ago I guess, and now for some reason I wanted to watch it again...That's sad :(

  • @discuscd I'm so sorry. I was watching Mike's vid 2 ys ago I guess, and now I decided to watch it again for some reason, and I read the discription...:(

  • how long did he live once diagnosed? I bet you were as lost as me right now? Where did you get your mike and Kevin from? We found Reiley at a pet store and I was sure he was a russian...fit all the markings and traits..we were so lucky for the time we shared with each other. Please let me know.

  • @MrBubbiesGirl

I am so terribly sorry that you lost your little pal. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy sneaks up without warning, and Ihis is not the first instance I've heard of a Russian coming down with it. If you write to me at my AOL address (my username @aol.com) I can provide you with some info as well as some pictures of Mike & Kevin as babies. I look forward to hearing from you.

  • @discuscd I have a question. Does this only happen with Russian Blue cats? Cuz i have one and i am HIGHLY worried.

  • @camilecool12 i have a russian blue cat in my house u will not belive my cat is so brilliant i adore mickey

  • I just found this video while searching for some answers to the death of my dear Reiley yesterday. He to was diagnosed with the same disease. He was breathing very hard yesterday, only sign there was anything wrong.Rushed him to the vet, thats when I got the terrible news.I had to decide then what to do.They said meds wouldnt help much..so I had to have him put down last night at the young age of 6. • Oh so sorry to hear that he passed away. He was a little cute kitty. Om Mani Padme Hum.

  • my cat use to do that to my ex and everytime he comes off leave from the navy he usually takes her nd i still find her layin on him like tht. I wonder if its a guy thing?

  • This is sooooo freaking darling! What a sweet kitty and good human! Thanks for posting this!

  • I'm a stomach sleeper and my 5 month old RB wants to sleep on the back of my head and neck.

  • God bless you guys i am happy you had Mike I know how it feels to lose your baby we have all been there but in the end all that love is so worth ii, all the best with your new fur baby(:

  • Sweet Mike...bless his precious little soul....I love his little blissed out face in the video. I'm sure he had a good life with you and was very loved.

  • adorable

  • Aww, at least your neck was warm!

  • すごく可愛いo(^・x・^)o ミャァ♪

    僕もRussianblue飼ってるんです(ΦωΦ)

  • Little Mike is adorable. My condolences on your loss.

My Russian Blue, Fred, likes to sleep on my chest & put his head under my chin.

It must be a Russian Blue thing... Gotta love the kitties!

  • my russians name is mike too lol

  • that is precious! how is he doing?

  • We're sad to inform everyone who has enjoyed this clip that Little Mike died on October 2nd of 2006 at the age of 8 years. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure due to hypertrophic cardiomayopathy, a condition which affects about one cat in a hundred. He was laid to rest in his back yard in Palm Springs, CA on the 3rd of October. He's sorely missed by his family.

Good news though - we now have a NEW Russian: "Kevin." Same sense of humor and need for comfort that Mike had.

  • @discuscd awe I'm so sorry to hear that:/ but I hope you put up videos of kevin soon!

  • @discuscd

Aww I am sorry to hear that about poor Mike.. :( We have a russian that is just like him. They are great family members.

  • @discuscd :( sorry

  • @discuscd So sorry to hear of your kitty's passing. He was very obviously well loved and cared for and knew it.

  • @discuscd Oh really? That's sad :( I hope your new one is doing fine!

  • @discuscd thats both sad and good to hear

mike looked like a real cutie ^^

  • @discuscd may he rest in peace and may his memories follow you for the rest of your lives, greetings from a devout ailurophile from Greece :)

  • @discuscd At least, we can all take comfort in the knowledge that Little Mike is now at peace- resting comfortably across the reclining neck of our Lord and Savior.

  • @discuscd

I was sorry to hear that little Mike passed away, but he seemed to have had a wonderful life with wonderful people. You did good by him.

  • thats so funny. Cute baby

  • Lovely video:-)

  • not so good for summer :D

  • My little man looks exactly the same, and sleeps on our necks too. :D

  • This video reminded me so much of my husband - I call him Kitty Daddy because he is so lovey with our three cats, one of them is a Russian Blue. :-)

  • Oooohhh, this one is a keeper! So little, so cute, so lovable.

    I want one so bad!!!

  • Adorable!!!! So sweet!!

  • OMG get that thing away from that cats face

  • To my little boy ARMANI you give me the same amount of love as Mike does but you sleep next to me in my bed.

  • Your wrap is so life like. !!!

  • I luv Russian blues aren't they adorable I found a stray Russian blue

  • They can feel the warmth of your neck and the heartbeat in your corroded artery. Hmmmm, must be very comforting.

  • That is sooooo cute! The cat is beautiful!!! Love it!

  • so pretty I have a russian blue too!

  • because the neck has the pulse and the right curves and temp. for the cat. but its just so perfect, is this cat a female?

  • Rest in peace Little Mike.

  • that is funnie. Maybe it likes the vibration from your throat as you breathe just like we like them purring. I think it would be cooler if he slept the other way around and purred into your ear. hahaha

  • My Russian Blue kitten Sampson does that too, and loves to be around my neck too. I wonder, is it a genetic thing with those cats??? :)

  • Hmmmmmm, Someone's cat is spoiled rotten. :)

  • Does Mike still do that at the age of four years?

  • aww how cute. :)

  • LOL....that is SO ADOREABLE!!!!....i have a russian blue that was just like that as a baby...i call him gilligan......cuz he's my little buddy....he'll still crawl up in the crook of my arm like a baby and go to sleep.....russian blues r the BEST!

  • how adorable!

  • omgosh

  • One of my old cats used to do that! She also used to sleep on top of the bedroom door and jump on your head when you got up in the morning,

  • My ragamuffin would do that everyday after work. When daddy (me) got home she would stretch after a long nap in moms (ex) bosom just to curl up around my neck as I took a quick nap.

  • I had a russian siberian for 15 years. As a kitten, one day he slept in that same spot. For the rest of his life, i could pick him up and the only place he wanted to be was right there. That will be your cat's chill spot for the rest of his life.

  • it trying to fuk u

  • New meaning for "necking!" I find it curious that a young cat could feel so comfortable with a human...I would think instinct would tell them to shy away. This cat is blissed out!

  • hey mine did this too when it was a baby and is still doing it at 2 years:))) dont worry its cute:X

  • beautiful video!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Che carinoooo!!

  • Dude you are "owned"!

  • One of my adult stud boys still sleeps on my neck lol.

  • so cute. congratulations!

  • So adorable ! Amazing !!!

  • How sweet. I have a Gray DSH that looks like yours. In my experience , Gray cats are nice friendly cats. Is it genetics ?

Mine lays on my shoulders and cleans my neck/ears at night.

  • so sweet!!

  • So cute!

  • How beautiful(and the cat is adorable too!)! :-)

  • beautiful :-)

  • so sweet

  • No its the body heat of the neck...

the large amounts of blood coursing through his veins in his neck is appealing to the cat

  • my russian blue likes to sleep like this too! lol she's four months old now, but she still insists on sleeping on your neck or being carried around on your shoulder like a parrot.

  • hehe! kitty scarf! :D so cute

  • sweet ... :-)

  • .. sweet ..

    :-))

  • cause the heat

  • I think it's the pulse in your neck. Like sleeping next to its mother.

  • That's a great observation...is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

  • People who think cats are stuck up and anti social should see this. Cats just do it differently than dogs. Your husband has

    a Russian blue muffler.

  • why the fuck are you watching it then? cute cat.

  • omg when i had my russian blue he was like my own little personal alarm clock i have to be up at 6AM for work and hed crawl on me start meowing till i got up, it was weird when he was gone :(

  • He is soooo cute!! My Russian Blue does the same thing! How old is he now???

  • we have a Russian Blue too as she does the very same thing...loves to get into one's neck! Sooooooo affectionate. Incredible cat.

  • lol my kitten sleeps on my neck as well haha he just likes being near people i guess when he sleeps.

  • Due tanti bellissimi!:))))))))))

  • that is pure ownership, not owned but as in very lovey posessive kitty, saying you are my territory so i love you....

  • I just got a Russian Blue kitten yesterday and, yes, they do wrap themselves around your neck - like a stole! They're absolutely the most adorable cats.

  • what a sweetie, this kitten has big ears!

    must feel warm <3

  • Too adorable.

  • hes sooo adorable mine was stolen :( a week ago

  • sorry :(

  • I have a Blue Russian , and when he was a baby he liked to sleep in my neck o even my head too !

Of course now he can't cause he is so much bigger , but he still sometimes cuddlle close to me to sleep .

  • Too Cute..... Russian Blue cats have to be the most loving breed. Mine come and gives kisses. She loves to sit on the back of my chair with her front paws on my shoulder, cuddling my neck, ear, head, hair. Best breed.

  • Aw! My russian blue is almost 2yrs old and he still loves to snuggle. When he was a kitten he would sleep on my forehead/face and neck lol. In the middle of the night though, he would pounce on my legs and feet lol.

  • 1 of the cutest videos I have ever seen!!! love it!~

  • most animals like to sleep near your neck or chest because the beat of your heart comforts them :) my russian blue x is about 1 year old and she kneads my belly when she sleeps (: (kneading is what they do when they are drinking from there mothers as kittens)

  • Mine does the same thing,he is 8 months old now :)))

  • Haha, my cat does that till this day... but what started out as cute kitten behavior is now a 15 pound fur ball planted on my head everytime she wants some love. Sometimes I can't breathe and I wake myself up having to move her. :-D Here she comes. She must know I was talking about her.

  • @kicesie Man, you better set some mice loose in your basement if your cat's that heavy.

  • my cat looks like that he is a russian blue too but now he is almost one

  • My kitten "Dolce" does the same thing and I couldn't even move or she would get annoyed, she is also a Russian Blue, I used to think she was the only one that slept like my necklace but glad to see that it runs on her kind.

  • yea lol mine used to crawl in my bed at night and sleep on my face

  • My blue does the same thing to use. He loves to be around our shoulders, even we are standing up.

He also loves to steal your drinking straw, so you have to guard your cup. Oh and hair bands are another favorite thing to hunt for

  • TheFightinag2004, buy a package of sticks for smoking pipe cleaning, get one, bent it and give every now and then to your cat. Maybe your drinking straws will be safe in the future. Cat love that sticks to play with.
