This fight is so stupid in the Twin Snakes, all you have to really do to win is stand where you are when the fight starts and shoot him in the head a few times.

@RpGfreak901 (SPOILER ALERT) That was not the Darpa Chief it was Decoy Octopus, a member of foxhound. he tricked Snake to use an emergency card key to input the detonation codes while Snake was thinking he was deactivating it while he was unintentionally activating it. He did this because Mantis couldn't read the real Chief's mind.
P.S. Leave Snake alone guys, no one ever has any problems with any of the other characters doing their insane stunts, I'm glad Snake got at least one game where he's just as crazy as the people he's fighting.

Why is everyone complaining about the cutscenes? Whats wrong with making Snake more badass than he already is? I'm all for flashier cutscenes and showcasing why Snake is regarded as the greatest soldier alive, but they took it too far. Shit became too unbelievable. MGS4 probably had the best balance of fancy choreography that wasn't over the top but still appealing to the eye.
@Carlitonsp1 I'm saying that the series is about a compelling story rather than cool superhuman effects performed by an established human character. The moment you start making Snake out to be superhuman is the moment the audience loses it's sympathy with his character and it's the moment the story loses its appeal.
@Colest503 Except Solid Snake IS superhuman, in certain ways. If there is one thing Solid Snake is NOT, it's a normal human. He was cloned from the greatest soldier to ever live, and was genetically altered in order to have potential like you and I will never hope to possess. In fact, it's funny you mentioned MGS4 as not being over the top; if anything, Snake's accomplishments in MGS4, given his rapid aging and physical deterioration, only SOLIDIFIED his superhuman status.
@Colest503 It's only beyond believable to you because of who you are and how you were raised; to an average human, who grows up surrounded similarly average and mundane humans, the idea of an exceptionally gifted human being sounds preposterous.
@Colest503 Snake's abilities aren't simply a result of sheer will and physical training though; he, along with his brothers, were programmed to be physically and mentally superior to the average human.
@Colest503 Cloned from a normal human PLUS genetic tweaking here and there. The only really "normal" Snake is Solidus, since he's JUST a clone of Big Boss, with zero modifications.
@Sanguiluna The only tweaking done was Accelerated Aging (which was done to all 3 clones) and changing one clone to receive the dominant genes (who was supposed to theoretically be superior to Big Boss) and one clone to receive the recessive genes (who was supposed to theoretically be inferior to Big Boss). Liquid gained the Dominant and Solid gained the Recessive but it turned out that the genetic predispositions were false. They were different from Big Boss but still meant to be human related.
@Carlitonsp1 Nah, I'm gonna say that Colest503 was right. Its like watching a bad movie where people try to do bad ass stuff to look cooler when it just ruins it. the first version had it right. It's like the hero of the movie doing over the top unnecessary movements just to dodge something that you could just step to the side to avoid.

If u guy's are talking about when he jumped over the ceiling fragment - he still landed on his back which makes it less neo like. & if u ask me i don't think he had time to step to the side only had time to jump. It's in slow motion. I'd also like to ad some of us prefer to see gravity defying stunts - i mean after all its a video game...

@filipeflower If I remember correctly I think it was in Nintendo Power a long time ago when the game came out. I remember reading it because I was super excited when I heard this remake was coming out. I also noticed after playing MGS4 some of otacon's memories about snake on shadow Moses seem to fit better in this version like when He called snake a total badass. Im not saying ps1 version is inferior to this one I think the Ps1 version is better because it was so revolutionary for its time.

I'm all for flashier cutscenes and showcasing why Snake is regarded as the greatest soldier alive, but they took it too far. Shit became too unbelievable. MGS4 probably had the best balance of fancy choreography that wasn't over the top but still appealing to the eye.

@Carlitonsp1 I'm saying that the series is about a compelling story rather than cool superhuman effects performed by an established human character. The moment you start making Snake out to be superhuman is the moment the audience loses it's sympathy with his character and it's the moment the story loses its appeal.

@Colest503 Except Solid Snake IS superhuman, in certain ways. If there is one thing Solid Snake is NOT, it's a normal human. He was cloned from the greatest soldier to ever live, and was genetically altered in order to have potential like you and I will never hope to possess. In fact, it's funny you mentioned MGS4 as not being over the top; if anything, Snake's accomplishments in MGS4, given his rapid aging and physical deterioration, only SOLIDIFIED his superhuman status.

@Colest503 Cloned from a normal human PLUS genetic tweaking here and there. The only really "normal" Snake is Solidus, since he's JUST a clone of Big Boss, with zero modifications.

@Sanguiluna The only tweaking done was Accelerated Aging (which was done to all 3 clones) and changing one clone to receive the dominant genes (who was supposed to theoretically be superior to Big Boss) and one clone to receive the recessive genes (who was supposed to theoretically be inferior to Big Boss). Liquid gained the Dominant and Solid gained the Recessive but it turned out that the genetic predispositions were false. They were different from Big Boss but still meant to be human related.

@Carlitonsp1 Nah, I'm gonna say that Colest503 was right. Its like watching a bad movie where people try to do bad ass stuff to look cooler when it just ruins it. the first version had it right. It's like the hero of the movie doing over the top unnecessary movements just to dodge something that you could just step to the side to avoid.

@m0nkus & i agree with Carllitonsp1. I understand what u guys are saying but I don't think Snake was"crouching tiger hidden dragon" in any way. If u guy's are talking about when he jumped over the ceiling fragment - he still landed on his back which makes it less neo like. & if u ask me i don't think he had time to step to the side only had time to jump. It's in slow motion. I'd also like to ad some of us prefer to see gravity defying stunts - i mean after all its a video game...

Stop praising it for being more to the point during action scenes when that's all it was capable of at the time. Personally I dont mind the over the top action as long as it isnt TOO overt (which it is NOT). Stop being a drama queen.

@thangQanime I agree I read an interview with kojima about this game and when he decided to do this he said this is how he originally wanted the scenes to be like originally because back in the day the motion capture tech was limited

@filipeflower If I remember correctly I think it was in Nintendo Power a long time ago when the game came out. I remember reading it because I was super excited when I heard this remake was coming out. I also noticed after playing MGS4 some of otacon's memories about snake on shadow Moses seem to fit better in this version like when He called snake a total badass. Im not saying ps1 version is inferior to this one I think the Ps1 version is better because it was so revolutionary for its time.

@filipeflower And I wasn't talking about graphics either simpleton. I was referring to the animations. Don't challenge my knowledge on the subject unless u want me to make a fool out of u. Mgs1 animations were hand drawn while in Twin Snakes they fiddled with some motion capture technology for alot of the animations. BIG DIFFERENCE.Also the PS1's processors at the time were not capable of rendering this data even during the cutscenes especially seeing as it took 2 discs for what they already had
