redsn0w is a jailbreaking tool.

the description and instructions of the uploader isn't flexible. but you can use other tools like blackra1n (they are jailbreaking tools)

depends for some people what version of Ipod they have, the oldest generations are easier to Jailbreak, as ipods are being made, Generation 2 and possibly 3 are way harder to jailbreak because Apple has added new updates to it

Sorry for the late response but go on youtube, and search for Installous 2.5 and download that as some iPod Touch's do not comply with the 2.1 version,

Sorry for the late responce, for the redsn0w i used in the video, you do not need an IPSW file, you just got to have the ipod and it's USB, you do not have the correct software, try again,

when i downloaded apps it doesnt show up on my screen and i see that you told others to go to the app store and download a free and bu that requires you to have an account. so is there another way i can get it to show on my screen when i download?

Yes,

Umm.. It requires an account which you can sign up for FREE, just do that then get an free app and that should solve it, that is basically the problem because on your iTouch there is not an created folder for the apps to go into,

Yes it is normal if it is the first time you are jailbreaking, if it takes longer than an hour, go onto itunes and restore the itouch, then jailbreak it again and it should'nt even take 2 minutes to boot up.

I think i know whats happened, go back on cydia and make sure on the top left of Source GUI, Installous and MiPatch it says modify if not it will say install and do that.

If this does not work then try going on the app store and download something free to create a folder for cracked apps,

No but this is the easiest way to jailbreak it is much better than a much popular program called Quickpwn, trust me I just jailbroke my friends ipod in less than 2 minutes
