  • What a great video! Thank you for sharing!

  • Hi – that’s a great review of Dragon! Did you know that if you share your Dragon video or Dragon user story, you could win an iPad2. Check out ‘I Speak Dragon’ on the Nuance UK site for more information. You’ll need to be quick though, because the competition closes on Nov 30. The comp is open to all UK Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Dragon Dictate and Dragon Mobile App users.

  • I don't have dyslexic but I have a speech impediment can I use this stuff . I haven't downloaded for my iPod and iPad but haven't used it yet

  • @tubeman25 hi, I think it depends on the type of speech impediment. I think so long as your speech impediment is consistent it should be able to get used to it. For example If you tend to to miss pronounce certain sounds wrong eg pronouncing "Ross" as "Woss". It might take a little more training but it will eventually get used to it. However I imagine something more varied such as a spammer would make it a lot more difficult. Be interested know how you get on. I have never used it on an ipad.

  • @xXkillerkeyXx Hi, no problem, Glad you found my video useful. When you start using speech recognition it's quite a difficult and strange skill to learn. It's not a miracle cure and it isn't for everyone but it is definitely helped me. I'm currently studying philosophy at university. I would not have got into university without speech recognition.

  • Great video demonstration!

  • Thanks, glad you liked it :)

  • Very, very good. Clear. Pedagogical.

It seems like you have good capabilities for teaching and selling.

  • Wow what a great video. I've been researching speech-to-text software for use in special education classrooms, and your little vid just puts it all in a nutshell. Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences with us all, especially your spiel about classroom applications :)

  • Thanks, glad you found it useful

  • Awesome video! I'm a disabled man and have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for the past 10 years. I found your video to be an excellent overview of the product.

I'm also a member of the Massachusetts Assistive Technology Advisory Council. At our last meeting, I was trying to impress upon the Council members that consumers often use YouTube to demonstrate how today's technology can meet one's disability needs. At the next meeting, I plan on using your video as a perfect example. Thanks!

  • Good luck! Yes, it's very, very well done. See also my other comment. If I had a company I probably would hire Rhodri!

  • Hi

I thought your video was brilliant and inspirational. I am a specialist teacher in Dyslexia (AMBDA) and provide courses for teachers and teaching assistants on Dyslexia. I would really appreciate it if you would allow me to use your video to illustrate speech recognition and exam concessions. If you could download a copy that would be brilliant. Will reimburse any costs. I'm fighting the cause! Hope to hear from you.
