I watched this last night on tv, if only the full version was free and on youtube then we could help prevent this from happening again. I'm only 19 and never knew any of this, in school I was taught the war was to stop communists. Get this on youtube and spread the word, prevent more young men and women from enlisting into these wars based on lies.

Even without the interwebs, there's an enormous amount of information the government WANTS the public to have. WITH the interwebs, that and more, & that growing each day with no prospect of serious limitations anytime soon. When folks talk of government secrecy or lack of transparency, can't help but think: "what ARE they talking about?"

Those few, but critically-, vitally-sensitive documents pouring out from Wikileaks are getting pro-US Afghan collaborators killed daily. That's not cool.

This is exactly what I thought about the Obama situation of having to write his own 6 page terms for the war in Afghanistan, makes you wonder who the fuck is in charge, the military or civilian government?

Read John Perkins. As a former inside man, he lays out pretty clearly how presidents are just the smiling face of the Pentagon in bed with Wall St. and the multinational corporations (the corporatocracy as he calls it)
