In the studio when you're recording, I think anyone would be able to do a better job then than they would live because you're alone and can focus a bit more on the notes you want to hit, and if you don't like how you hit one you can always go back and redo it. Live, there is no redo. She's still amazing live, though and so much better than over 99% of singers nowadays.
Listen to WT then some live show of some idiot like Ke$ha or something. It's uncomparable. WT OWNS most singers live today. :)

This is indeed live. Sharon's voice has deepened over the years and (in my opinion) she can't really reach her high notes anymore. That's why she sings a lot lower now. Her higher register may have been damaged, from what I can tell.
@nonamer88 its mostly live and pretty good performance but if you think this is 100% unedited then you have no idea about audio recording on live performances in general (and rofl @ intellectuality, which would have nothing to do with this anyway so its a pretty random use of that term from yourside, i guess you feel intellectual and had to mention it). it is mastered and mastering is editing....

i have seen them live. i was seriously about 6 inches away from her, i could hear her singing, so it was a voice over or anything. and obviously she isn't going to sound JUST like her cd, it's naive to expect her to. and she clearly feels better singing high notes, which is why those ones sound like the cd, where as her low notes don't....some people are comfortable with super high notes. and no, she has never sang opera...
When she first stated singing, I was like, holy hell, her voice is crazy awesome and legit. Then she got to the chorus and I was like, "What the hell?" It sounds like she had a voice issue prior to doing this performance. She still did it great, but it could have been better had the chorus been sung better. Nothing will ever be perfect, but still. It makes me wonder if she really had a voice issue or that was just her singing. I hope that its the former.

What I really like about this song is its double meaning - "the 'tore me apart' can be about feelings that were hurt or... the guy litterally tore her apart, considering the rest of the lyrics.

she carries everything...keyboards are also decent,but the rest of the bend is just nothing special. Compare this guitar to Whitesnake,Mr.Big,Deep Purple...(etc)...they sound pathetic and inferior...God she's really is an Angel,i just love this voice! BEAUTIFUL.
