As much as I don't care for his voice ( too over sung for me ) He is an incredible instrument in the regard that he can play multiple instruments. Comments accusing him of being a poor musician are invalid. Unless you have albums out and made music your living shut the fuck up. We all have our preferences. Art is subjective.

Despite what you may think about the character of his voice, the quality is untouchable. I saw The Rocket Summer play here in SLC about 6 mos. ago. I worked security for the club they played. I didnt care to much for that lil guys music then. Now after seeing this video in all reverence to Elliott Smith (RIP). I respect and admire The Rocket Summer, and in the end I think you might find his wisdom is clandestine, and you will feel what I felt when I saw this.

I've never heard the Rocket Summer, but this cover is really nice. Obviously quite different from the original, but it brings something new to the song, and it works, in an unexpected way. And WOW, his speaking voice is different from his singing voice. Amazing.
