Yup...that's how pure Briggs was. I always remember his only reference to any 'fear' being...'the possibility that love was not enough'...but of course he knew it was, just the possibility that it wasn't, whe pressed by Windom.
This was the most touching moment in the series, to me. Makes me cry, without fail every time! Somewhere beneath that arrogant, self-serving exterior of Bobby Briggs beats the heart of a young man who just wants to know his father and make him proud. Thanks for uploading this :-)
Notice that, while the Major is retelling his vision, the people in the booths behind him barely move.
This show was so great. It didn't matter if you had the slightest clue what was going on, it was just fantastic to watch. You could turn the TV on midway through a show and just be instantly mesmerized.
@deyoungparker Thanks for pointing out the people barely moving--terrific stuff. Your comment is great and spot on...anyone else might think something is lynchian just because it's weird...they just don't get it...
Even through both actors play minor characters, the scenes with these two is some of the best film about father-son relations I've seen

Indeed...he had tremendous presence & gravitas.
I love this scene....due to the fact that it is rare to see to males sharing this kind of intimacy...probably due to fear.
One of the best scenes from Peaks...but there are many.

'A vison, fresh and clear as a mountain stream'
Only Don could say that line with such amazing class and elegance.

The Huckleberries were particularly fresh.
