youre losing power with the straight pipe. that only works with 4 strokes. if you want more power use a pipe from a pocket bike, it has a tuned expansion chamber. also tune the carb it will run better

Now fit it with a small tuned pipe per the engine size and you will have something. Open exhaust pipe flow does nothing positive for 2 cycle motors. Look into tuned pipes and you will see what I mean.

Ok first off, Octane booster doesn't do anything for performance without the proper adjustments to ignition timing, All you did was foul the plugs and start creating some preigintion/detonation.

Your "bigger" spark plug probably didn't do anything as well, and when you "bored out" your carb, all you did was just drown it in fuel, since its probably not getting enough air to compensate for the extra fuel.

You basically wasted your time, and it probably performed better before you modified it.

I just bored out the portion of the carb before the butterfly and smoothed it out to increase airflow, not fuel. Also, the sparkplug is hotter burning than the original so it did have an effect.

To much octain booster will lose power.

Higher the octane the slower the burn, so higher compression can be run without detonation + it contains higher calorific value, this combines to give higher power.

@NKdude i stuck a bigger carb on mine bored it out before the butterfly (i didn't jet it), welded up an straight pipe to expansion chamber. big power increse, i plan on porting it tomorrow. ill make a video. its a 26cc weedwacker (reedless) :( only 1 crank bearing so i don't think it will last too long.

@NKdude a hotter spark plug is disigned for higher compression ratios. so unless you made a taller piston or made the head smaller, then you are actually loosing power....

meh not that tricked out. if you really want to trick out an engine get a dremel or similar rotory tool and change the port sizes. but this is rather hard and will if not done corecty ruin your engine

Just so you know..2 cycle engines require a bit of exh back pressure to aid with scavenging..Adding a "straight pipe" probably killed a bit of you're engine performance.
