  • @violinplayer111 5'2" and 95 pounds is not healthy. She would be underweight. I'm also not sure why you wanted to lose any weight in the first place since you were already at your healthy range when you started. 95 pounds will put you right on the edge of being underweight, so for your own good, stop trying to lose weight. I can't say the same thing about your friend because I don't know how much she currently weights, but tell her 95 pounds is not healthy for her.

  • Anyone struggling with their weight needs to get the new book by Sean Croxton. I'm a personal trainer and even I learned things from it.

    Step 1: Go to FatLossDarkSide. com

    Step 2: Read the guide and actually FOLLOW IT!

    If you do that, there's no way you wouldn't get results.

    And NO, I don't benefit whatsoever if you decide to use it. Just trying to help out (which is why I came a trainer in the first place).

  • @qanstomir You basically just advised what everybody else advises to lose weight...go read this book/blog/website..follow the rules..guaranteed results..blah blah blah..

    There is ONE Universal Principle to lose weight. Eat less calories than what your body needs so it will be forced to tap into your fat reserves to function.

    ALL weight loss uses this principle..but you don't need to pay anybody for this info. Any nutrition counselor or dietician will give it to you for free. =)

  • my mom is 5 foot flat and used to be 160 lbs. she's now down to 130. NO dieting, and she goes on a walk 3 times a week. all she does is eat healthy. diets don't last after you lose the weight. they also don't help if you're trying to get healthy. just sayin...

  • It must be just me but I don't see a difference between the first and last picture. The one in the middle looks like a weight gain not loss.

    One her body in the last looks more toned and her stomach isn't bulging out as much as it was in the first. Her change is actually really good, and you can tell she's getting more definition in her body then before. The middle looks like she did gain, but then that tends to happen when you work out, you start to gain muscles then while you keep working at it you then slim down while your body starts to burn more fat since it notice it doesn't need it. This takes awhile to do. :P

  • @lilaznkouk That's what I was wondering too. Last year, I embarked on a weight-loss journey. I lost 80 pounds, and had a starting weight of 225 in January, and reached my lowest weight of 145 in November. I was working out at the gym almost everyday at this time, and that helped. Over winter break, I did not go to the gym. I tried to watch my caloric intake. On January 8, I weighed in at 163.5 lbs, a 18.5 pound gain. I currently am down 3.7 lbs from that weight, and weigh 159.8.

I currently am in college and go to the gym everyday, but at home, I don't have a gym to go to, so during the semester breaks, I tend to put the weight back on. I don't want to go back into the 160s ever again, so I tried to formulate a plan for the summer: Stop drinking SODA and drink WATER instead, that should eliminate 600 calories per day. Over spring break, I'm going on a cruise, and they have a gym on the ship.............

  • @lilaznkouk so diet shouldn't be an issue, and I should continue to lose or maintain my weight easy, just as long as I don't go Vegas on food, but I already promised I wouldn't do that. The challenge is SUMMER. I want to be lean and thin, my bf % is 17%, and I'm trying to go down to 15% at least. The challenge isn't LOSING the weight, it's maintaining it. My only solution for you is to keep a daily log of the food you eat and to count calories. If you aren't going to the gym, eat at your BMR.

  • Sweet & Low or Equal<<Do not use this stuff for weight loss. Find a natural alternative (honey, use half the sugar, etc...or just go without). Stay away from splenda and the like as well...

    Alright, I've been a personal trainer for the last 10 years so I figured I'd shed some light on how to lose fat.

    Step 1: Educate yourself and stop falling for the scams. I recommend that all my clients read the Abs Truth program by Mike Geary.

    If you don't take the time to read that, then you're not serious about it.

    Now for some quick tips.

    1) Cut carbs at night

    2) Eat only natural foods (lean meats, fruits, veggies)

    3) Do "HIIT" training

Considering she just started losing weight too (or had at the time of these videos), she probably still has a relatively high BF %. It's believable that she's 126 at her height.
