I just don't understand why human life these days comes second to something we've made up, I mean money is just something we made up otherwise we'd just be wondering around the world like the animals. We created out of thin air something to value ourselves with and now it's worth more than life itself.

You guys misunderstand him first of all but second lets pretend he meant it the way you fools think he did. What is the human toll of an economy collapse? Imagine millions of japs hungry and thirsty all running around trying to find food with their samari swords. The lack of understanding of how important an economy is amazes me. Even if he made the statement like idiots misunderstood it to be it still has some validity as without an economy more than just 10k will die.
@papersplease explain to me how I am a bigot? I dont need to convince you as you probably are a mindless idiot who thinks without a stable economy things will continue to be roses and applesauce. Think about this small fry......When an economy collapses see what happens to crime, rape, murder, starvation, sanitation, electricity, and dont forget rule of law. Lets make this simple what would you rather have 10k dead or an economy to collapse completely? Which will cause more death?
@stonej82 Ur statement is so dumb it's inconceivable, so by saying this, They should kill pple to prevent the economy from collapsing to prevent more deaths WTF. In a way u got it right, I would say kill the bankers since they screwed up the economy that put so many pple in debt and probably caused alot of deaths indirectly.
@superphi You clearly did not understand my comment. I expected many not to as your limited education probably holds you back. Please look into what happens when an economy collapses. Also the bankers did not put people in a debt? Did they force people to take out loans they couldn't afford? Clearly if you make 50k a year you cant afford a 300k house. I realize incompetents like you probably need that explained to you but for most its simple math. Dont blame bankers for your poor education
@kalifani i wish i was a teenager again:( thanks for the original post. you know i am right so all you can do is call names. i am sorry your not smart enough to hang with the big boys maybe you will be able to when your a high schooler
@stonej82 I didn't call you a name....I stated the fact of who you are.
Too bad you equate that w/ youthful indiscretion on my part...but, you fail. To dwarf your 'intellect' is no challenge...your just too much of a bore for me to care.
@kalifani You didnt really state a fact about me but more my mother. Dont overheat that giant brain of yours. Whats it like to talk about how smart you are and yet make no actual point. Maybe you think that if you tell everyone your smart long enough that they will believe you? Its interesting you blame banks for people taking out loans they couldnt afford....you must be really smart and delusional.
@stonej82 If u make 50k u can definitely afford a 300k house, that is what loans r for, do u really think u need to make 300k to afford a 300k house? Ur not that stupid u that u think everybody who buys r house pays the full amount at once? And if the banks didn't screw up y did they get bailed out? sure pple got loans they couldn't pay, but they didn't get bailed out like banks did when they screwed up. So my pt is still valid kill the bankers and urself to prevent more deaths, good day asshole
@superphi see people like you are what caused this bubble. your such a complete idiot you cant even go do a mortage calculator to find out if you can afford a 300k house. A 300k house with 1% property tax included is about 2 grand a month. (also home owners insurance, etc not included.) Someone who makes 50k a year is going to bring home about 2k a month after taxes, healthcare, insurance etc. maybe even less. I cant teach every tard like you basics and this is why we have a housing bubble.
@superphi Well the banks got a bailout because consumers like you who are complete idiots think someone making 50k a year can afford a 300k house. Your not so stupid to think that someone who makes 50k doesnt have to pay taxes, food, electric, gas, etc lol....the banks also were being forced to make bad loans to poor people like you. this artificially lowered interest rates and made loans easier to get for people who couldnt afford them.
@superphi People didnt get bailed out like the banks did? Lets think about that 8k homebuyers tax credit...an attempt to bail out people who purchased homes by aftificially propping up home prices.....although this was largely a failure the intent was still there. include in that the car buyer tax credit etc. peole also were given programs to change the terms of their loans. there is more also but those are just a few.
You did misunderstand, this is what happens when you parse language. No way did he mean the human toll was was less important. He was referring to Francis comment about the markets holding up. Come now people, use your brains.
lol very bad comment but he obviously meant he is grateful that the dow jones didnt suffer... but yes i guess u have to be one sick fuck to even compare the number of human lives to numbers in economy
obviously no one here understands basic English syntax. He's saying that we can be grateful that the economic toll was not as extensive as the human toll. Had it been, Japan would be in much dire straits than they're in currently.
Japan has the third largest economy in the world but also one that is extremely fragile. If they're markets were to collapse the effects would be devastating domestically and abroad.
Yeah, the thousands of people here don't understand English syntax but you and some wall street rat. Do you understand sarcasm? Sorry, but I think his true colors were showing.
I think he didn't mean that. It's just that compared to how big the quake was, the death toll is suprisingly low (still tragic, I know, I feel terrible myself, don't give me I'm heartless), and the economy itself looks intact, which is great.
This is EXACTLY the type of Wall St. scum that should be strung up like Mussolini. Him and about 1,000 of his closest friends. He would say he simply misspoke but in fact his true ideas surfaced before his mouth could stop them. A sickeningly disgraceful human being who I am ashamed is an American.
Well, I think they're being refreshingly honest. Let all those who think they have something in common with the rich take note. Should you be supporting their right to make money off your labor, your futures and your deaths?
just disgusting, but i tell you what: i'm not surprised. these jack-holes are complete social darwinists and look at people like you and me as sub-human - not worth their worry or concern.
Larry Kudlow has always been an imbecile. I was not expecting anything more from this worm-head. Hes just another finance news whore like, Cavuto, Velshi or a bimbo like Bartiromo (sorry ladies, shes smart but she only sells HER assets)
All those of you who have an altar of rememberance at home for Japan, and are staying home from whatever work you do to keep the candles lit, can speak up. Otherwise you're just whining.
All those of you who have an altar of rememberance at home for Japan, and are staying home from whatever work you do to keep the candles lit, can speak up. Otherwise you're just whining.
is you are to use economics it is to serve humans, and all humans.
if people are poor, if they have no homes, disease, no food nor water, it is the moral imperative to spread the wealth.
it's not the opportunity for capitalists to make a buck profiteering off the pain and suffering of the Japanese rebuilding the country and providing essential services
who would people listen to a guy for 1 second after what he said caused you to lose hundreds, thousands or millions..? where does his credibility come from after he told "investers" on a Friday to "Keep BearStearns Stock" and then Monday what was worth somethin' was now worth nothin'..? Crammer is a crimninal.. and, when someone posts a disclosure claim before they speak it means "I'm gonna say somethin', just don't hold me to it.." Crammer's word is no good..
@8lig Kudlow should be fired because you misinterpret what he said? People shouldn't be fired because you are so easily manipulated by someone who posts 15 second sound bite from an hour long show.
This is what happens when we focus a society on morality, on the ideas of humanism, and focus on economism.
The prospect that liberty will be no more, in the eyes of an avid nation, nothing more than the necessary condition for the security of financial operations. This fostering a confusion between the freedom to make money…and freedom itself.
Nice distortion liberal idiots. I watched that episode of The Call. They discussed the human calamity in Japan throughout the show, but you don't see that. No,the liberal blogoshpere takes a sound bite of Kudlow and tries to twist what he was saying. He was simply saying we should be grateful the world markets didn't collapse as well. He was in no minimizing the tragedy.
Please liberal sleaze, don't talk about Fox News when you guys are ten times worse at distorting the news.
Not the best way to phrase it. He is focused only on the markets and should not mention anything else. Especially in the comparative sense. If this man were stranded on the roof of a house, floodwaters rushing past at 50 mph and rising 5 inches/second, he might not be thinking, "How is this going to affect the markets?"
what you have to remember is the market is not jusst some abstract thing, dont get me wrong the loss of human life is terrible, but a large decrease in the market can just excentuate the problem to everyday people through the lose of jobs etc... thus i think people should be grateful this didnt occur to the extent people predicted.

papersplease 11 months ago
@papersplease explain to me how I am a bigot? I dont need to convince you as you probably are a mindless idiot who thinks without a stable economy things will continue to be roses and applesauce. Think about this small fry......When an economy collapses see what happens to crime, rape, murder, starvation, sanitation, electricity, and dont forget rule of law. Lets make this simple what would you rather have 10k dead or an economy to collapse completely? Which will cause more death?
stonej82 11 months ago
@stonej82 ur stupidity cause more deaths, so just kill urself to prevent further death in the world
superphi 11 months ago
@stonej82 Ur statement is so dumb it's inconceivable, so by saying this, They should kill pple to prevent the economy from collapsing to prevent more deaths WTF. In a way u got it right, I would say kill the bankers since they screwed up the economy that put so many pple in debt and probably caused alot of deaths indirectly.
superphi 11 months ago
@superphi You clearly did not understand my comment. I expected many not to as your limited education probably holds you back. Please look into what happens when an economy collapses. Also the bankers did not put people in a debt? Did they force people to take out loans they couldn't afford? Clearly if you make 50k a year you cant afford a 300k house. I realize incompetents like you probably need that explained to you but for most its simple math. Dont blame bankers for your poor education
stonej82 11 months ago
@stonej82 I do blame your mother for her fertility though.
kalifani 11 months ago 2
@kalifani i wish i was a teenager again:( thanks for the original post. you know i am right so all you can do is call names. i am sorry your not smart enough to hang with the big boys maybe you will be able to when your a high schooler
stonej82 11 months ago
@stonej82 I didn't call you a name....I stated the fact of who you are.
Too bad you equate that w/ youthful indiscretion on my part...but, you fail. To dwarf your 'intellect' is no challenge...your just too much of a bore for me to care.
kalifani 10 months ago
@kalifani You didnt really state a fact about me but more my mother. Dont overheat that giant brain of yours. Whats it like to talk about how smart you are and yet make no actual point. Maybe you think that if you tell everyone your smart long enough that they will believe you? Its interesting you blame banks for people taking out loans they couldnt afford....you must be really smart and delusional.
stonej82 10 months ago
@stonej82 If u make 50k u can definitely afford a 300k house, that is what loans r for, do u really think u need to make 300k to afford a 300k house? Ur not that stupid u that u think everybody who buys r house pays the full amount at once? And if the banks didn't screw up y did they get bailed out? sure pple got loans they couldn't pay, but they didn't get bailed out like banks did when they screwed up. So my pt is still valid kill the bankers and urself to prevent more deaths, good day asshole
superphi 11 months ago
@superphi see people like you are what caused this bubble. your such a complete idiot you cant even go do a mortage calculator to find out if you can afford a 300k house. A 300k house with 1% property tax included is about 2 grand a month. (also home owners insurance, etc not included.) Someone who makes 50k a year is going to bring home about 2k a month after taxes, healthcare, insurance etc. maybe even less. I cant teach every tard like you basics and this is why we have a housing bubble.
stonej82 11 months ago
@superphi Well the banks got a bailout because consumers like you who are complete idiots think someone making 50k a year can afford a 300k house. Your not so stupid to think that someone who makes 50k doesnt have to pay taxes, food, electric, gas, etc lol....the banks also were being forced to make bad loans to poor people like you. this artificially lowered interest rates and made loans easier to get for people who couldnt afford them.
stonej82 11 months ago
@superphi People didnt get bailed out like the banks did? Lets think about that 8k homebuyers tax credit...an attempt to bail out people who purchased homes by aftificially propping up home prices.....although this was largely a failure the intent was still there. include in that the car buyer tax credit etc. peole also were given programs to change the terms of their loans. there is more also but those are just a few.

obviously no one here understands basic English syntax.

I think he didn't mean that. It's just that compared to how big the quake was, the death toll is suprisingly low (still tragic, I know, I feel terrible myself, don't give me I'm heartless), and the economy itself looks intact, which is great.

economics is arbitrary.
is you are to use economics it is to serve humans, and all humans.
if people are poor, if they have no homes, disease, no food nor water, it is the moral imperative to spread the wealth.
it's not the opportunity for capitalists to make a buck profiteering off the pain and suffering of the Japanese rebuilding the country and providing essential services

who would people listen to a guy for 1 second after what he said caused you to lose hundreds, thousands or millions..? where does his credibility come from after he told "investers" on a Friday to "Keep BearStearns Stock" and then Monday what was worth somethin' was now worth nothin'..? Crammer is a crimninal.. and, when someone posts a disclosure claim before they speak it means "I'm gonna say somethin', just don't hold me to it.." Crammer's word is no good..

qualqui 11 months ago
This is what happens when we focus a society on morality, on the ideas of humanism, and focus on economism.
The prospect that liberty will be no more, in the eyes of an avid nation, nothing more than the necessary condition for the security of financial operations. This fostering a confusion between the freedom to make money…and freedom itself.
liberalcynic 11 months ago
Nice distortion liberal idiots. I watched that episode of The Call. They discussed the human calamity in Japan throughout the show, but you don't see that. No,the liberal blogoshpere takes a sound bite of Kudlow and tries to twist what he was saying. He was simply saying we should be grateful the world markets didn't collapse as well. He was in no minimizing the tragedy.
Please liberal sleaze, don't talk about Fox News when you guys are ten times worse at distorting the news.
jtravis282 11 months ago
Not the best way to phrase it. He is focused only on the markets and should not mention anything else. Especially in the comparative sense. If this man were stranded on the roof of a house, floodwaters rushing past at 50 mph and rising 5 inches/second, he might not be thinking, "How is this going to affect the markets?"
