Meiner nicht - der hatte gar keine Temperaturanzeige (Motor). Ich konnte nur über das "versteckte" Menü darauf zugreifen... LG Chris

Der Sound ist abbartig für ein e87.. Ohne problem beim Tüv oder wie?

@ulqin2008 Wg. TÜV weiß ich nicht, ich hab den 1er vorher verkauft, als ich mir den M3 geholt habe... aber in dem Zustand, auf dem Video, glaub ich nicht, dass man so zum TÜV sollte ;-)

You need to use higher rpms! That's what the engine is built for, it's not a diesel. :)

@Rudolf2k Of course you're right, but the engine was still cold at the first min of the video and I wanted to look after my engine :)

@ComBlizzard Aha. I never ever load the engine at any rpm when cold. I sit in the car and drive with low engine loads until the engine is varm. :)

Note: Acceleration at low rpms very often uses 100% of the available torque (full load=bad with cold engine) at that rpm even if the accelerator is only very slightly pressed.

@Rudolf2k Okay, thanks for the note! Do you think it's better to have lower load and higher rpms or more load and lower rpms for same accelleration when engine is cold? (I'm driving the E92 M3 atm)

@ComBlizzard I usually stay within 1500-2500rpm and less than 50% torque /at that rpm!) when cold.

If you have the classic BMW "instantaneous fuel consumption gauge" you can determine the torque used for a specific rpm.

In high gear, apply 95% throttle. Note the litres/100km or mpg reading. Find the throttle spot where the consumption is half of this. Now you are using approx 50% of the available torque at that rpm.

@ComBlizzard You will discover that at low rpms you will need very little throttle to use 100% of the available torque at that particular rpm. Only at maximum revs you need to have the throttle at 100% to have full power.

(At 100% throttle the fuel mixture is richened to get more power, then you can not use the "metod" above).

Das hat doch nichts mit der Anzahl der Türen zu tun, sondern mit dem Facelift und deiner ist nicht geliftet!

Meiner hat kein Facelift, das stimmt - aber jetzt nochmal zu den Bezeichnungen:

1er Drei- und Fünftürer (E81 und E87), 1er Coupé (E82), 1er Cabrio (E88)

Die Elektronik war noch nicht ganz umprogrammiert, deshalb leuchtete die Lampe. Das Klappern war der Hitzeschutz (Alublech), der danach noch etwas umgebaut wurde.
