Steve what are your thoughts on burst training ? when wanting to drop bf, obviously with weight training and proper nutrition. Or would you prescribe HITT cardio over say 20 mins or longer.

You never need to cut calories drastically. Only enough to loose fat. The leaner you are, the less you should cut. If you start out with a 1000 calorie plan, you will fail long term. Guaranteed.
That is totally incorrect. Very heavy people might be able o eat a bit more and still lose weight because very fat people require more calories to maintain their weight.
For example, when I was over 200 lbs, I was told to eat more, if I was to go on the Slim Fast diet plan , but if I get under 150 lbs , on the Slim Fast plan I would have to eat less to lose weight. Why is it like that?Thanks...:).
Love your videos! Question...I'm having a seriously hard time eating 1200 to 1500 calories. So, if I burn 500 calories on the treadmill and eat 2000 calories, is that still like I only ate 1500 calories?

In my opinion, walking is a waste of time. Sure it burns calories...slowly. Sure it's good for you, but not as good for you as running or intense biking. I know guys that can walk at a 4.5 mph pace for a solid hour and be fine, but get them to run 6.5 mph or higher and they poop out after 2-3 minutes. Walking sucks for actually getting you in shape.
Steve - When was the last time you had a McDonalds supersize and 10 beers on a night out?! Seriously Id love to know this. Are you T-total? Do you occasionally indulge in McDonalds type food?

steve, i have a quick question for you. a lot of people nowadays are saying high intensity interval training a lot more effective and it burns more fat than low intensity cardio. supposedly with hiit, you burn mostly carbs as you well know, but its the post workout where you supposedly burn a lot of calories including fat. do you have any thoughts on the low intensity vs. high intensity interval training debate and what is better at burning fat? thanks
steve, i love your videos! you are right on the money about how to lose weight. creating a calorie deficit and exercising (cardio and weight lifting) is all you need.
steve, i have a guestion for you.... im trying to lose alot of weight i have been doing good eating less and working out more, i have lost 17 pounds in about a month and a half,but what activity is gonna help me more, biking for 10 miles or a good fast pace walk for 5 miles, what one is better as far as losing more weight faster?
Dollyskip, I am in almost exactly the same boat as you. I have only lost 14 lbs in a Month and a half. I am starting to ride a bike. When you walk I believe you get more muscles effected but when you get in better shape you will have to run to get your heart rate into the range you need. With a bike you can go as easy or as hard as you need to without stressing your joints as much. I want to see Steves viewpoint too but my guess is the bike. Good Luck and keep it up.

Yes! Just make sure of your calorie totals and then don't cheat! You can also vary your calories 1700-2000.

Yes, very heavy people CAN lose a GREATER AMOUNT of weight per week IF they diet and exercise because their bodies burn a larger amount of calories.

Dollyskip, I am in almost exactly the same boat as you. I have only lost 14 lbs in a Month and a half. I am starting to ride a bike. When you walk I believe you get more muscles effected but when you get in better shape you will have to run to get your heart rate into the range you need. With a bike you can go as easy or as hard as you need to without stressing your joints as much. I want to see Steves viewpoint too but my guess is the bike. Good Luck and keep it up.
