This is a standard Piedmont. The only thing ina sense different is I went for the Weber P10R's (copies of mid 50s Jensens), whereas guitarists tend to prefer the P10Qs and other speakers. The P10Rs are more ratty and lo-fi, and great for harp - but I am confident this speaker would be great for harp regardless of what speakers were used - AlNiCo, Ceramic, mid 50s, early 60s...
I have a Peidmont, with a couple of small tweaks. Love it, will never part with it, and Micheal and Jonas were wonderful to deal with. Listening to yours, It seemed there were some slight differences, and it got me curious. It does sound great, and so does mine. thanks, james
You should put a video of the Bassman type amp on you tube or is that the one with the 15" speaker. I like 15" speakers for Harp amp they sound excellent & are lighter than 4x10. i have just bought a 4x10 SJR i pick it up this weekend
To add: the other amps you can see are a Retrosound Super I owned and since sold and a Retrosound Princeton.
I sold the Super because the amp is similar to the Pro, but I just enjoy the throaty bass of the Pro a little better. The 15 inch speaker has a great vibe.
Whoo-hoo! Soccer season is over! What's that, honey? Winter is over? Spring is here? I have to what? I have to mow the lawns every Saturday morning again? What? No, no, I wasn't playing "that amp" again.
This is sooooooooo damn good!

Drew, Is that Clark's standard build, as for a guitar amp, or is it tweaked for harp? I love my Clark, the best tweed clones around to my ears. James

James - meant I am confident "this amp" would be great for harp (and guitar) regardless of speaker choice.
Which Clark do you have?

Well it had the attenuator on...
And I was using a ceramic element in a JT30 shell, which isn't as hot as my CRs...
Maybe those factors had an impact? What are the mods on yours?

James - responded to your email.

How many Clark amps have you got?
They look/sound like great amps - Is this your favourite amp you have found for your Blues Harpin'

I own two Clarks, the Piedmont (Bassman) and the Penrose (Pro). I dig them both and will NEVER sell them.
The Pro is great for small/medium gigs. The Bassman is great for medium/large gigs.
One of these days I may also get a Clark Lil' Bit LTD.

Do you use them both for Blues Harp or guitar.

I may get an SJ 410 super Sonny one day. There's a clip of Sugar Ray doing Rocker on Youtube and it sounds fantastic.

i just realised it is the piedmont in this clip. is that a copy of the old Bassmans before they went 4x10

This clip is a 4x10 Bassman style amp. I have other clips of the 15. Search for Clark Amplification Pro.

Just a note to add this is straight into Normal 1, with no channel jumpering.
