  • Very nice homes and neighborhood. Taxes and upkeep (utilities) are higher than giraffe booty. The neighborhood to the east of that across Woodward is quite challenging too. (think Beirut Lebannon all bombed out and burned up)

  • What a great neighborhood! Greetings from Vancouver.

  • The good areas are good, the bad ones are reall bad. I love that city though, so much to do everywhere in the summer.

  • Hmm--nice to see the someone showing the parts of Detroit that aren't ghettos for a change---just so you know---the whole city isn't one big damn ghetto---only idiot who have never seen the whole city say that stupid shit!

  • I would love to move to Palmer Woods! Great homes with real character and about 15-20 min from fun Detroit areas like downtown, midtown, birgmingham, etc

  • Go celebrate some of the downtown detroit diversity.

  • I grew up in Sherwood Forset...on Renfrew. My parents are still there! I will always have love for Sherwood Forest!!!

  • "Challenging" areas? Nice choice of words!! LOL!! Anyway, that's not entirely true. Depending on where in Palmer Woods you're located, you walk a couple of blocks and you're back in middle of the ghetto in the blink of an eye. By the way, that neighbourhood is pretty close to Highland Park, wich is a very "challenging" area, if we can put that way.

  • @emersoncf Wimp.

  • Oak Dr near Clarita 1960-73 (birth through 13). My aunt Dorothy Turkel (my mother was adopted though) owned the Frank Lloyd Wright designed home on 7 Mile.

  • I use to live in Palmer Woods. really old huge houses

  • @PhuckHue2 I wonder if the Loomis family still lives on Suffolk. they had a lot of mixed kids. all the daughters were fine as hell haha

  • gorgeous!

  • Moved to this neighborhood in '05 from boston-edison; the contrast is not as bad from street to street as in BE, you have bagley to the west, and a major throughfate to the east and north M1/M102 and Ford park sub to the south, not bad. I lived on Boston Blvd in the early 2000's and although I had a FAR BETTER home in BE i never liked the idea of stepping out of my yard straight into "the hood" but I loved my home so much over there I looked past it.

  • it reminds me of green hills here in nashville, tn

  • John Corvino!

  • 1990 to 1999 i grew up here,,,loved it and still love it 7mile wilderemere area

  • I grew up in Palmer Woods on Balmoral in a beautiful home. We moved after the riots started in the late 1960's to the suburbs. What a shame that the surrounding area has eroded so... I miss this area terribly - haven't been back to MI since 1978. I think it is great what folks are doing in sherwood and palmer! Way to go....

  • Like i said,ive been going there since a kid,its right off 6 an woodward!in the MIDDLE Of the fuckin Hood!you need a gun to pump gas over there.TRUST ME! but,its nice in the sub,just like boston sec,nice till you leave the sub,then your in the ghetto.thats all 100% kdoe wifey+ i live in Groose pointe honey,i know whats REALLY good}

  • bitch i dont give a fuck about grosse point you must be a whitey get a fucking life like i said the area all the way from sherwood forest to those streeets like santa maria etc are nice if you dont like it dont come over there point blank with your dumb ass

  • @bobby19011 Once you cross Woodward you're back in the hood.....But Palmer Woods, Sherwood Forest, Greenacres and the University district are pretty nice

  • i have a family member that lives in there..very nice>until you pull out of the Sub.lol

  • actually my school is over that way and most of the area is nice so wtf are you talking about
