Batman: Hush definitely had the best fight scene between the two. It allowed Superman to beat the mind control on his own (with Batman and Catwoman helping naturally). For example in The Dark Knight Returns Superman never really has that redeeming moment, probably because I get the feeling Frank Miller really hates the character.
Also, the ending on a handshake...classic. Jeph Loeb at his best!

It's a story where Wonder Woman was able to hold him off and killed Lord. In 'Justice League #2' in the New 52, Superman had Batman cornered and fought off Flash and Green Lantern. Batman actually had to tell him to stop, even saying 'please'. And in a novel, 'Luthor, Man of Steel', Superman flew up to Batman and threw away the container of Kryptonite.

@goldenjavier It was in the narration that he almost broke his hand. Superman's defeat by Batman's hands in Dark Knight Returns was just an example of how Batman needs help even against Superman. And Superman, while put off and disoriented by the Kryptonite, could probably still have clinched taking Batman in. Besides, Superman also slapped Batman in 'Twilight' and faced up to the infamous 'Batglare'.

And in the Justice League episode "Hereafter" when Superman was in the future, and he had no powers. He still managed to find somebody who could help him get back, and Batman had been killed. Superman came back from the future, and helped the League that would have been destroyed without him. Superman can kick ass without his powers.

Dark Knight and batman begins is better than superman movies because it is WRITTEN better and has BETTER ACTING TALENT. Batman will always be superior to superman because he does not just rely on brute strength and a lame ability to display xray vision. For anyone who actually read this comic, Batman states that SUPERMAN WAS HOLDING BACK ALL HE COULD, otherwise Batman and Catwoman would have been toast. The writers also state this. Batman was simply using diversion tactics until Superman could snap out of Poison Ivy's spell. It wasn't really a win... just stalling. Superman could easily kill Bats, as stated by Bats himself.

People tend to dismiss Supermans will power. Even under the control of Ivy, he was still somewhat in controll himself. He even told her, while under control, that he could not kill. He was holding back. That is why Batman was able to get away. Even under the control of Ivy he still remembered who Louis was, and stopped chasing Batman to save her.

Yes, but Batman won't kill either, especially his friend. Batman was holding back too. He could have kept up the sonic attack, he never once threw a kick, only punches, and he never combined sonics and hits. He didn't really want to hurt Supes, only buy time for his plan to succeed.

First of all, Supes was slowed down by having to tunnel through the ground in order to get to the sewer, this gave Bats sufficient time to prepare. Secondly, the K slowed down hSuperman's reflexes CONSIDERABLY.. as was actually mentioned in the issue itself.
Seriously, think it through. If Batman was REALLY unable to stop/kill Supes using the ring, why the hell would Superman have given it to him in the first place?

Batman: Hush definitely had the best fight scene between the two. It allowed Superman to beat the mind control on his own (with Batman and Catwoman helping naturally). For example in The Dark Knight Returns Superman never really has that redeeming moment, probably because I get the feeling Frank Miller really hates the character.
Also, the ending on a handshake...classic. Jeph Loeb at his best!

It's a story where Wonder Woman was able to hold him off and killed Lord. In 'Justice League #2' in the New 52, Superman had Batman cornered and fought off Flash and Green Lantern. Batman actually had to tell him to stop, even saying 'please'. And in a novel, 'Luthor, Man of Steel', Superman flew up to Batman and threw away the container of Kryptonite.

I mean I get that Batman is like at the peak of human perfection so naturally he's pretty fast, but Superman is almost faster than the Flash. He should be able to dodge all of Batman's hits. Oh well still a pretty awesome fight, and it's not like Batman is going to lose in his own series.

Also btw, many tried, but lex luthor < batman. Also bane was only dangerous the first time, in recent years he's become a henchman. @southboy99 Yes but batman has defeated deathstroke, who stabbed flash, destroyed all of green arrows arrows, made that pull a rabit out of a hat girl useless (got rid of her words that were used for her magic) and multiple others. He effectively fought multiple justice league members alone. Deathstroke said batman was top tier and he wouldn't be a match if he didn't have his increased speed and strength from experiments on him. Batman isn't to be underestimated, he's batman.

@Vebinz My thoughts exactly! They try to create clever schemes in which Batman can use to hurt Superman, only they're stupid and contradicting. Superman has been exposed to larger doses of Kryptonite (like Brainiac) and still maintained his super speed, etc... Also, how the heck did Batman and Catwoman outrun Superman? It's ridiculous! Supes is almost as fast as the flash in the air. Dumbest writing ever.

For anyone who actually read this comic, Batman states that SUPERMAN WAS HOLDING BACK ALL HE COULD, otherwise Batman and Catwoman would have been toast. The writers also state this. Batman was simply using diversion tactics until Superman could snap out of Poison Ivy's spell. It wasn't really a win... just stalling. Superman could easily kill Bats, as stated by Bats himself.

Supes is so "smart" he always gets into preventable trouble. Always taking hits where he doesn't have to. Completely dependent on his powers he doesn't even need to think. I can't even count how many times Bats bailed him out. Superman leads the justice league, but Bats directs it.

After reading the comments, I've come to this conclusion: Green Kryptonite=Loss of power(which EVERYONE knows).
Red Kryptonite=Bloodlust(as many die-hard fans have read/seen/heard(this, btw is news to me)).

You all should read the fight between Bats & Supes by Brian Azzarello for a second opinion. Its arguably the most realistic fight between the two. And its on my channel!
This fight was pretty good too though, not too over the top with Wayne's strength, but maybe his speed was a little unaturallly high.

People tend to dismiss Supermans will power. Even under the control of Ivy, he was still somewhat in controll himself. He even told her, while under control, that he could not kill. He was holding back. That is why Batman was able to get away. Even under the control of Ivy he still remembered who Louis was, and stopped chasing Batman to save her.

Yes, but Batman won't kill either, especially his friend. Batman was holding back too. He could have kept up the sonic attack, he never once threw a kick, only punches, and he never combined sonics and hits. He didn't really want to hurt Supes, only buy time for his plan to succeed.

We all know Batman carries kryptonite on his belt, Superman knows that too, but when the question is asked over who would win the fight between the two the answer is simple. Can Batman move faster than Superman and get to the kryptonite before Superman lays a super-punch on him? Because if Supes makes contact, Batman dies.

First of all, Supes was slowed down by having to tunnel through the ground in order to get to the sewer, this gave Bats sufficient time to prepare. Secondly, the K slowed down hSuperman's reflexes CONSIDERABLY.. as was actually mentioned in the issue itself.
