Cassandra Wilson's "Love is Blindness" always made me cry, like clockwork. This Wichita Lineman is Mrs. Wilson all over - sublime or very close to it - with a twist of sunshine in it. I loved the musical arrangement as well.

You know, I'm beginning to believe "L" is for Love. Overflowing generosity, that's what love is all about.

I like the subtlety of the phrasing and the ability to hear the chord changes. New interpretations of standards are always interesting. This version ties James Taylor but the original is still the benchmark. All beautiful in their own way. Jimmy Webb really had a knack for catching the heart and the ear while telling his story...

I'll go with Glen Campbell's version as my favorite, but this is still AMAZING! I'm blown away by the fact that although the arrangement is different, she sings it in it's original key!!! The depth of Cassandra's tone is absolutely wonderful to hear...The rest of the album is really good, as well!
