They work fine but when they go wrong it's really horribly wrong. I never had a problem with my device till I updated my TomTom home 2.5 to 2.7. I then went to update my device and now it won't start up. The customer service told me to Format it which I did but after backing it up. I did this but the updater always cancels the update due to earlier failure. TomTom customer service can't help me. It's my third and probably my last TomTom.
Inserting the plug to your car adapter is a HUGE pain in the ass with this device. It is very difficult to line up properly. You pretty much have to remove the unit from its windshield mount in order to plug it in. Also, there is a limit to how many "Favorites" you can have. It's a ridiculously low number, too.
Hey mate i just bought a tomtom xl off ebay brandnew last week for $250 it an awesome device aint it lol the easy moust thing is annoying but i got used to it after a while... ive heard good reviews about it and have only heard the back plug insert is the only problem.. how is yours going?
