  • What do you think is more reliable? Chevy or Nissan?

  • @bmwmsport11 Narrowing it down to trucks, the Chevy

  • They are built with a faulty radiator. The transmission cooling lines rot and let antifreeze leak into the transmission. There's currently a class action suit under way. If you want to avoid all this hassle....replace the radiator at or before 50k

  • sounds nice

  • I have the same problem with my Nissan frontier, the repair estimated by the dealer is $5000.

Advice if you have a Frontier over 80k miles stay away

  • Typically the whine is from a timing belt tensioner. This clearly has a screwed tranny too.

  • Someone probably abused it and never took care of it. No car will last if you don't take care of it.

  • What a POS. It's a Nissan.. what do you expect? I would never buy a vehicle from a manufacturer that feels it necessary to have "V8 Titan" written all over their full size pickup trucks. Well no shit it has a V8!

  • i will buy it right now now how much??????????

  • @taleel22 I'm not promoting or trying to sell anything. This was was at auction & the truck really is in rough shape when seeing it in person. It doesn't look too bad on camera :P

  • it sounds like a 350z

  • the 2005-2012 Nissan Frontier/ Nissan Navara Brute/ Nissan Frontier Navara(TW)/ Nissan Navara is assembled in

    Smyrna, Tennessee, United States

    Curitiba, Brazil (2008-present)

    Samut Prakan, Thailand (2007-present)

    Barcelona, Spain

    Miaoli, Taiwan

  • Poor thing. As far as midsize-trucks, this is probably my 2nd favorite (Ridgeline=1st).

  • sounds like a weed eater lol

  • Hey its turboed. Thats the wine.....duh

  • @SubieSean yeah right

  • If i had to get a truck, I'd look into these. Nice looking trucks.

  • @Intechdude300 yea we just go by the milage but are gona fix it, buy hopefully this doesn't happen to us. Very time we service it we always check if there is Any discoloration in the radiator fluid...

  • These trucks have always been popular, but I'm surprised about the transmission.

  • Laugh if when he had it floored in reverse it took off :P

  • @TheDataZoo No one behind me anyways. The truck couldn't even make it to it's spot :P

  • sounds like my drill :D

  • will replacing the torque converter fix the problem?

  • Yea we take care of our 2005 pathfinder but now we have the dumb gas gauge problem, hopefully this doesnt happen to us

  • @TheAlexv6 Yeah, that issue once got me struck when transporting one lol... And then the fuel nozzle at any gas station would keep clicking making think it were full.

  • I do admire Nissan for not using a CVT in their pickup trucks!

  • As much as I love Nissan, I never liked this generation of the Frontier. The older Nissan Hardbody trucks are better.

  • @2Kriss2Kross the newer ones are a lot better. they fixed a lot of issues after 2008.

  • Haha what the fuck it sounds like a wood carver.

  • High miles too for a 2006

  • Now In Some Shitty Automobile Nightmare!

  • @talldude123 their competitor which is "The One You Ought To Avoid" had issues with transmissions in their trucks too. They are both known for having all their planetary gears go out too, it's been both a nissan and toyota issue since the early 90s.

  • F-ck off love bug!

  • That is Nissan quality for ya!

  • Disgusted.. This goes to show people never maintenance their cars. Even tho these are know to have coolant leaking into the tranny the owner should have know if their was coolant leaking since when you get oil changes they check all fluids..but im sure the owner neglected a transmission flush. Well a new tranny and the newer redesigned radiator and this will be a great truck.

  • @noriceformeplz Was also in an accident, Chassis had some fresh welds in the right front side when looking into it's condition report :P

  • @noriceformeplz don't forget the pathfinders, xterras, hardbody pickups & frontiers from the late 80s to early 2000s were known all too well for the planetary gears going out in the transmissions. it was also a common issue in a lot of toyota trucks and even the late 80s/early 90s jeep xj cherokees.

  • @2004NissanSentra Every Hardbody we have had has had manual trans and they seem notchy till warmed up when they get older(keep in mid every truck has had over well over 200k or right at it), but its still abused and still eating V8 Chevys. I got an new transmission to put in but I'm not gonna do it till it completely goes out, than I'm gonna have new syncros put in it and have another spare trans.

  • This is quite common from what i understand

  • sounds like a sweeper with that whine.
