  • the bathroomss really pretttyyy

  • @sweetstrawberry700 Thank you so much! RR

  • Who thumbs down something like this ?! This is perfect !

  • I love this idea!!! I would have never thought if it.

  • i need help. I have this huge windows in my room that forms an L shape across the corner. I'm a fan of ceiling to floor curtains but the problem is the ceiling is lower on the corner, like there is this beam that supports the roof. what can i do to make the bare walls above the rest of the curtains seems less awkward?

  • I subcribed! U are fantastic! And that shower curtain was gorgeous and u are correct to add longevity to make bathroom look endlessly tall ... fantastic idea for anyone who is putting their home up for sale! Makes bathroom show so well!

  • the room is totally changed, great job! green is such a good idea for a bathroom. actually, i was struggling with what colours i should go for, because i didn't want to go for the usual blue but i also did want a colour that suited bathrooms and that i wouldn't get sick of after a few months. the green is so beautiful, especially with the artwork that you combined it with and the large patterns make the room seem less tiny.

thanks for posting, i love your videos! :)

  • Hello you are amazing was sent over by fellow youtuber Malitose79 she was right about you!!!! subbed!!!! :)

  • Do your fans have any idea what you are giving them?? Trade secrets closely held by designers who have always felt their intellectual property and creative ideas are something worth protecting. That is after all, how we get paid. I admire you for being willing to share your great ideas with the world for free. It sets you apart and shows your confidence. I just wonder if the people watching your videos really get it? If they know what you are bring them every week?

  • Thanks @candiceolsin, I appreciate your sentiment... Basically, I think its like anything, some do, many do not. But thats OK, I still love helping people who would never be able to afford my (our) services. I suspect with time and as more people implement the ideas they learn here, they will get it. I do have to say, I have MANY very appreciative subscribers who are GREAT at leaving ENCOURAGING comments.. I love that!

  • Hahaha... That thing they had up before you made their shower curtain was awful! :) She's lucky to have a mom like you! Question- Are you going to do a video on that girl's room who won that "ugliest room" contest?

  • Hi @bruciesheart, Thanks for the compliment!

No, the room design plan for the Ugliest Room contest has not even started :-(

Very sad... The family moved out of town suddenly 2 weeks after I announced she had won. Ashley has requested I still do her room but we are waiting till we know FOR SURE she will be living somewhere permanently, or at least for a long time :-) Thanks for checking though! BTW, I have the photos of maybabytumbler's room ready to show... just need to edit the video. RR

  • @robesondesign Oh, no! How awful! Are you going to be able to put her room up on YouTube, do you think, if you are able to do it? Oh, my goodness, I would absolutely have died if I had won! The poor girl must be pretty disappointed.

  • That's cool. You know, now that I think about it, all of our shower curtains are short. That's funny. I never really thought about it but I do know we love the look of model home bathrooms and they always have full length curtains. I totally get it. We need to go shopping! then sewing! Thanks Rebecca. Our house is slowly coming together and its so much fun to see what you are going to share next.

  • Love this! It inspired me to make one. I posted it on my Vlog with a link to yours!

  • @Malitose79 Well thank you.. That is very nice of you ... :-)

    Rebecca

  • This is great!!

  • Oh, that would be wonderful! Thanks. My email is crystalporlares@yahoo.com. Can't wait to receive them!

  • Rebecca, I love how the shower curtain ended up! Although, it was hard to get a good grasp on how it looked from a farther distance considering the bathroom was a bit small to work with. I'm wondering if you can give me a link or refer me to another picture of yours where you created this technique of the curtain falling from ceiling to floor! Please...I would really like to get other visions.

  • @porlares84 Provide me with an email address and I will send you photos further illustrating the shower curtain issue. . RR

  • too bad that the (Behind the scene - more install footage ) has no link to it

but.. still.. i like all ur videos...

  • @sumbook........ Z... Im trying to add voiceover to the footage... It will be so much more valuable if I can narrate in the background... I just need someone to teach me how.. Than I will upload.. However if you want it now.. let me know. I can upload as is... just not as good as it COULD be :-)

  • @robesondesign no no no... I will wait for your video to finish.. take your time :-)

  • I'm running out to Home Goods to look for that shower curtain tomorrow!!!!!!!! Hopefully they will have it I love your work Your the best Interior Designer on Youtube Keep up the great work and I wanted to THANK YOU for doing these video's for us please keep them coming and by the way I LOVE YOUR HAIR

  • Great job! And it seems really easy to do!

  • Awesome! Love the idea! I have made shower curtains in my day but this sounds really easy. It probably is a good idea too because shower curtains already have the button holes or grommets sewn in. I might even get creative and cut up a couple different patterns and sew them back together in random stripes. Oh My, I'm getting excited. Just look what you bring out in people ..HaHa Thanks for adding a tutorial to this series. Really fun to follow you through the whole process. Hugs

  • of course i thumbed up for -U- LOL

  • OMG You make something ugly and old into something so beautiful and new... I LOVE YOU <3

  • Please get wide lens it would make the videos so much better when presenting final product... my 2 cents =)

  • OK so, are you seriously telling me you can put a shower curtain in front of a glass shower door? I had no idea. Then you are saying it should go floor to ceiling?? I would never have thought of that. I would think it would look too crowded. But It didn't I couldn't believe what a difference it actually made. And only $28.00?? UNBELIEVABLE! You are a wizard at design!

  • The shower curtain looked great. I loved the stripes at the bottom, it was just the right touch.

  • Serious perfectionist. I wish I had that quality.

  • 2 of the videos at the end don't have annotations.... sadness!! :(

  • @PandyBean Good job... You actually watched all of them?? OK, so just for you, I'll finish the last 2 videos and upload them tonight :-) Glad you liked the ones I put up so far!! RR

  • @robesondesign YAY :D thanks a mil :) Also, if you have the time could you do a video of how you got to where you are today and what you need/what its like to be an interior deisgner as I'm considering it as a career option but my subject choices are next week :P thanks :)

  • Favorited*!

  • I never thought about filling in the top space & such with a shower curtain- how thoughtful. I loveeee that 2 pattern u are working with, soo creative! Love your ideas!. Great video thanks for sharing!

  • I love you, I love you, I love you... Your the best here in U tube!! Rebecca #1

  • It does make a huge difference... Thanks for the tip...LOVE YOU!!!!!

  • I need a shower curtain in my upstairs bathroom.

i really like watching your decorating videos. One major thing that i can't relate to at all is when you say you dont know how much you paid to redo a room or whatever you're working on. Cos i live on a tight budget and count every penny.

I liked this video especially because it comes across as being more budget oriented.

Also, I think it would be great if you decorated the Shaytards house.

  • @electronictrip Decorating the Shaytards home would be a score for both of us!! They would end up with a dream home and great backdrop for their videos, and my channel would likely soar to the top... Recognition by the "big guys" is what it takes to be discovered by the masses... If you have a direct connect.. give them my name :-)

Regarding the budget, I'm glad this video with its emphasis on creative ways to stretch the dollars was helpful for you :-) RR

  • I've only been able to find one shower curtain I really like, but it's a PEVA type curtain, so I think sewing a fabric border on it may not work as well...any thoughts?

  • @david2407 I'm not sure what a Peva type shower curtain is, but if you think a border would look weird, try sewing two of the same pattern together. If you peace it right, the pattern might camouflage the added seam. Let me know how that works out for ya.... RR

  • @robesondesign PEVA is what they call the vinyl or plastic type shower curtains, and the one I have is beautiful, but after a while the print begins to fade....I wish they had printed the same design on a fabric version.

  • @robesondesign I'm pretty sure she's referring to PEVA vinyl...at least I think that's what it's called.

  • @david2407 I think you can sew to vinyl...if you used some type of backing under the seam. I'm not sure what it would be called, but I bet if you go to your local Joann or another craft type store, they could help show you something. I have to wonder, though, why'd you choose a vinyl shower curtain? They are mainly meant for liners. Maybe check around more, I'm sure you could find something in fabric you like. Even if it's just fabric, shower curtains are EASY to sew from scratch!

  • @garciajennifer223 Hi..thanks for the info! Not sure why you think all vinyl shower curtains are "liners" most liners say liners on the packaging, the curtain I have has a very nice design on it.so I don't think it was meant to be used as a liner. I have searched many stores and online for a fabric curtain I like, but so far, have had no luck, which is why I settled for the peva curtain, it has just the look I wanted, but they don't make a fabric version.

  • I like the extra length and made mine longer too with fabric from a curtain someone was replacing in their home. I like the stripe fabric combo too and I actually love that it is not matchy matchy. Too cute.

  • OMG thank you Rebecca. I always love the way the shower curtains are hung in model homes with such height and drama. I had no idea I could get the same look by adding fabric to an existing curtain. I definitely will be pulling out my sewing machine for this one. Thanks again.

  • I love your cardigan/vest <3

  • That such a good idear thank u :)

  • Beautiful :D great video once again :D

  • i LOVE the pattern and colors!

  • I usually stick my shower curtain in the shower when I'm actually showering, because if I leave it out the water droplets drip onto the floor.

That would be okay to do with this kind of curtain too if I didn't have a shower door behind the curtain, right? Or is this simply decorative and an actual water-repellent curtain is necessary behind it? I love the look either way, I think it's great!

  • amazing as always :)

  • My Bernina sees a LOT of action! These things are what makes us OWN our space. So cool! Cheryl

  • Wow i never thought about putting the rod against the walls( with a shower that has glass doors).Thank you!
