  • Luv my BU'. It's an 02' .. Turning it into a sleeper soon, hope'n to squeeze 300hp+ out of it. : ) tranny going out soon so I plan on upgrading to a grnd's GTX r GTP tranny.

  • malibu definitely looks sexy

  • @scottkan357975343 My malibu and 3 friends have the 08 too and no problems of any kind. coming up 4 yrs this dec. 2011. all were bought in canada. 100,000km trouble free so far. quieter cabin ride then a lexus. 45 yrs of driving gm cars and never a problem. YOU will NEVER see me in a jap car.

  • GM fails to officially make a recall on power steering issues with 2008 Malibu and other models, but instead mails a letter stating you may have this problem. Unfortunately the dealers are passing the problem off saying "they can't duplicate" the involuntary intermittent jerking of the steering wheel. Well thanks to the internet and YouTube, they can now see hundreds of videos with the same problem and apparently the problem has been around for at least 5 years.

  • Now close to 100,000 km on it, no probs of any kind, steering has always been great. I drive 100km a day to work, round trip. and it's the most amazing car i've owned in my 42 yrs of driving. 20 cars, i've had, and by far the best one yet. so quiet, better then any jap car.

  • @biarritz59 I have an 03 malibu with 163K on it and runs off the show room floor!! You cant beat those cars, keep an eye on the tranny and cooling system. Cars will talk to you if you listen, dont beat it up and it'll last a long long time. Your right way better than the japs.

  • I love my 'Bu ^_^

  • Whats the new song?

  • New song was provided by youtube, sorry I don't know the name.

  • on :16 - :25 if you notice the chevy emblem on the stering wheel has a dent in the middle, i have a 2010 malibu and it has it too n one of my cousins has a 2009 and has a dent also. if you have a malibe check out the emblem it really does not look cute

  • I put nearly 100k miles on my 07 never had a problem, and never lost to a foreign car... Ever

  • MAKE SURE ANNOTATIONS ARE ON.

  • Youtube and WMG... so RIDICULOUS!

  • OMG WMG blocked the sound after one year on youtube abd almost 10,000 views..wow this is so wrong..

  • Hopefully yours will be reliable. Even though I only drive foreign cars (in the long run they are better) your Malibu looks nice and competes well with the Camry and Altima. My friend has a 2003 Malibu and some of the stuff on it has been built extremely cheaply and as a result his Malibu is in the shop at least once a month.

  • The Malibu has come a long way from 2003. Take a look at the previous Toyota Camry or Honda Accord cheap cheap cheap not to mention not particularly well made. Maybe you should take a new look at American automobiles, Im confident you would be surprised as everybody else is.

  • 15 months and 40,000km and trouble free so far, amazing ride and gas mileage.

  • @biarritz59 update july 2010, now 77,000 km and trouble free, except one door sensor, minor and covered on warranty.

  • @Iridium725 American cars in the past 3 years have turned around completely, they are more powerful, more efficient, and better made than most of their Japanese competitors now. The only thing remaining is bad rep they've gotten from their shoddy quality for the past 15-20 years.

  • Oh okay thanks. Has it been a good car in performance and reliability? I have a 2006 model and have had some small problems with it. But we think the new malibu should be alot better, Whats your epinion?

  • 25000 km so far so good, gas mileage amazing with 170 HP 4 cyl. and lexus quiet inside...wow what a car.

  • This is a wonderfull car, My mom is going to get one soon and I can't wait !! great video!. OH, how does the onstar and hands free calling work ?

  • you just press the onstar button, and you can set it up. the only negative thing about on star, its a paid for service, but some cars may have it free for a year.

  • EACH CAR COMES WITH IT'S OWN PHONE NUMBER,THE MIC IS IN THE CEILING. AND CALLER SOUND IS OUT OF ALL 6 SPEAKERS...WOW..AND VOL. CAN BE ADJUSTED. ITS 50 CENTS A MIN. LOAD FROM GM..FROM PHONE...anymore questions just ask.

  • WOW, 50 cents a minute, thats expensive. i rather get bluetooth.

lets say average talk time is about 500 minutes a month, well for me it is, that would be like, 250 bucks a monthcompare to the 40 bucks i pay for a cell phone plan.

  • I STILL HAVE MY REG. CELL PHONE, CAR PHONE IS FOR EMERG. AND ITS GOOD FOR A YR. SO IT LASTS...ITS PAY AS YOU GO. it shows you on radio screen how many min. you have left.

  • Just wait, after so long this car is gonna start having major breakdowns. Should've bought the 2008 Accord or Altima. I hear the Camry isn't doing too well.

  • last 3 cars were chevys...600,000km on one 1000$ repais over 8 yrs...the other 2 were 400,000 km plus.....remember the popular bumper stickers on cars lately..." OUT OF A JOB YET?? KEEP BUYING FORIEGN "

I'D RATHER WALK THAN DRIVE A HONDA OR PISSAN

  • GREAT CAR AWESOME

  • also see my other 2 vids....2008 Malibu part 2 and 2008 Malibu part 3 by owner

  • I like how those gauges fade in.

  • I can't beleive the haters posting low "star ratings" on malibu Videos. They are such a great car and winning awards like crazy so maybe they feel threatened.

  • It sure is a great car, and it is winning awards like crazy

  • see other malibu vids.....search " malibu 2008 part 2 and also part 3

  • you got the hybrid ver. right? can tell by the gauges

  • no hybrid for me,.this is the Lt-1 170HP

  • you talk funny...kind of like a Sylvester Stallone or something

  • well... the important thing is

do you like it ? if you do then go buy it

    i wish i could do so ...

  • I test drove a Malibu LT today with the four cylinder and it was amazing. Much more responsive, refined and powerful than I ever imagined. The interior is amazing also and the road noise is super isolated. The ride is amazing, taught and comfortable as well. I'm going to buy one soon!

  • Check out Malibu Part 2, Owner

  • Can't wait, what a great car!

  • Post some 0-60s with good engine sound. Lovely car by the way, is yours the LT?
