I'm not usually a fan of a group ripping off another line's material, but I'll give these guys a pass just for the size of their line. It's not "Cavaliers Clean" by any stretch, but I don't see the Cavies jumping up and down or playing over their heads when they play it either. I would love to find a video of this line playing really serious just to see how good they can be. Needless to say there are some really good drummers in ATL - Nice work, best pro sports drumline I've seen!
@WGIChamp I know you posted this a year ago, but I just figured I'd chime in, just in case 365+ days of waiting for your answer has been killing you. ;)
The main reason you're not getting too much sound is because of the dome. I march for Georgia State University's drumline, and we play at home in the dome. With our 8 snares, you're lucky to hear us over a large, loud crowd and 140 winds.
to be playn in the georgia dome, which is a really really huge place, i think they wud need like 2 sets of bass lines u knw, 2 bass ones, 2 bass twos, and so on. plus a few more snare wud be nice!!!!
For a pep band that represents a team that draws multiple thousands of fans to a dome where most of the people in there won't be critical of cleanliness? That's probably what they were thinking. In this case, quantity takes priority over quality, to a certain extent.
but dirty or not u still do not need 12 snares on a line because that will drown out the other drums and i know its a pep band but the crowd needs to get hype when they hear all of the instruments not just the snares
all the falcons line does is copy dci cores epic fail

I think the UMass line usually fields around 10-12 snares (by my count, recently). But they sound alright.

WHo in the heavens thinks these guys suck. They barely practice together, lol, and they sound perfectly fine.
