  • It's frustrating to know what Tolkien really achieved when there's no easy way to educate the movie audience and share the experience. Watching the films without reading the books and stories (not just LOTR) makes the whole thing seem so thin and random. This is probably true with most movie versions of books but Tolkien didn't just write books. He made a world and wrote it's history–with no significant gaps–starting from creation. Most people must be completely unaware of this.

  • @juutuub0 I do want to read them all, honest. Because I do realise just how deep he made their world.

  • LOTR is my favourite movie series of all time.

  • @iFoamy Good to hear :D

  • I have the extended edition box set of the entire trilogy. Love all three movies actually but the dvd commentary done by the actors really tells the viewer what arrogant twats actors really are.

  • @PJsCreed It does? That's a shame... but then I never watch/listen to commentary. I just don't care :P

  • @PJsCreed I have that, But I have to trade it for the extended BluRay edition of the movie.
