I think 64bit is creating problem with 1010LT... i'm using 32bit Win7 ultimate.... & its working verrryyyy nicely with 1010LT... i've created more than 30tracks with it & i didnt face any problem...
I have been using this card for years. Under normal usage 96khz @ 512 samples will work just fine with no drop outs. If there are then your computer is slow. Just bump your samples up a step or two and you should be just fine. I have had issues with crackle on particular channels and my 1/2 out has a weak right. Sometimes a bad install will cause problems. Just swap the slot and/or reinstall the driver. Since switching to 64bit I experience awful noise on shut down, same as it used to be years
I haven't checked for an M-Audio update, but I'm guessing that there was another piece of software that was conflicting with it. I'm no longer with that issue. Raising the sampling rate has helped too in some way.
Ensure sound acceleration is set to maximum in the control panel. the windows 7 default playback mode is set to like 96khz I think... Set it down to 44100hz - All do-able in control panel
its not a driver issue turn up your sample rate its in the hardware tab and it'll be fine i just got it to and had the same problem now i need to learn how to set up my mic on it. but be careful i had this computer built for music some computers cant handle a high sample rate
@ssjkarnage24 I thought the same thing, but when raising my sample rate, it only resolved a few issues with my DAW. This video is the media player playing an audio file which leads me to believe it's a driver issue. It supposed to be a x64 driver, but it's one of those x86/x64 drivers instead of a true x64 driver. Plus there hasn't been an update since Windows 7 was released.
@sonofsam415 The thing is the one to blame is Microsoft. Why do they change everything related to drivers in every major version as there are no improvements?
Keep updating your drivers, I think M-Audio released a Win7-64 compatible driver now.
Also open Task Manager and end all processes that may interfere with the audio.
That's a problem with shitty Windows sound implementation which doesn't centralize audio I/O.
@CAPPUCCINOtube Try raising your sample rate either in your DAW or the settings of the 1010lt as @ssjkarnage24 mentioned. That has helped me with those issues.
@sonofsam415 Thnx. But I've tried all possible option I could find online (changing bios settings etc.) It is not a sample rate issue. The crackling issue happens at random during recording. e.g. the first ten recordings are fine, then all of a sudden a crackling noise appears on recording eleven. This is only to be found out after playing back the recording, not during recording. I have no problem with playback.
M audio released a new BETA driver last month.... I haven't tried it yet
@CAPPUCCINOtube Im having tha same probem with the recording, when im recording voice the first 10 takes the sound is perfect, but then i start to listen to some crakling noise on the recording, im width windows 7 64x and a M-audio 1010lt do you guys have solve this problem, its a problem from windows 7 64x ?
@CAPPUCCINOtube I'm experiencing the same with my PCI Audiophile 24/96 on Win7 64x. Noise comes out of one channel. There's only noise during other sounds, never by itself. I'm beginning to dislike M-Audio and also I believe they poorly support their own products.
I found this on a forum:
uninstall all drivers and software. use ableton cleaner if needed.
turn off pc and remove sound card. boot pc.
Install the latest windows 7 64bit m-audio BETA driver from this forum...
reboot pc.
install soundcard hardware and boot up pc.
install all music produciton software.
whatever the program is it needs to run in vista sp1 compatability mode and as administrator.
problem solved.
