  • wem is "to whom" for example you see a present on the table and do not know whose it is. You may ask

    Wem ist das?

Would be "To whom is this for?

there are better explanations but i am running out the door right now. let me know if this helps. if not i will give you a better one.

    thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Hello! Thank you so much for the video! But when do I use "wem"?

  • @MrDoggy1997 also, when you say "with whom" you would use wem, for example...

I was with Bob... Ich war mit Bob.

but my friend did not hear me so he would ask me

with whom were you?... mit wem warst du?

  • @woltersworld So is it kind of like Akkusativ of wer?

  • @MrDoggy1997 it is the dativ of wer.

  • @woltersworld Oh. Thank you so much! Sorry I've only been learning German for 2 years as my 3rd Language. Your videos are really useful! (:

  • @MrDoggy1997 im glad i can help. that is why i made these videos, to help people learn german or manyother languages. i try to make them so its easier to learn a topic than an actual class. i tried to point out the important things to remember as just memorizing a list. just happy there are people out there that like the videos and can learn from them. thanks for watching and using the vids! all the best and good luck!
