@Dovid2000 what is the supposed "image" of a world leader?
America - White "all american" (southern) guy?
Afrikaan - Tropical clothed African guy?
UK - Crooked teethed Anglo-Saxon guy?
its the 21st century not 1810, image is much ado about nothing, ideologies matter. To put it into a quote, "the times are a changing". The old Fascist country, Germany, now has a female leader. Australia now has a devout atheist running their state. I guess America needs another elitist white man in charge...

If a Black man was charismatic enough on the world stage, he, too, would be a good President for the U.S. I'm speaking about "image" as I see it from my perspective in Israel. Here, in Israel, Bush commanded much respect. Barack H. Obama commands much less respect. Personally speaking, he lacks the strength of American Presidents in the past, such as George Bush, Sr. and George W. Bush, Jr.

@fferocious Though you might find it quite astonishing, in this country, George W. Bush was viewed as a strong President. Barack Obama is not. Change the public perception of the man, if you can.

@Dovid2000 how can you confuse ignorance with acute charisma? Omaba is certainly a man of respect and extremely charismatic, intelligent and worthy of the role it plays ... We learn to appreciate a man who is able to do his job differently unworthy of the Bush family

@Giovannuccia82 I don't think the people of Israel are mistaken when they say that the Bush family had the necessary "charisma" to be world leaders. They led a world-wide coalition against a dictator-like regime in Iraq under Saddam Hussein (who besides invading Kuwait, threatened Israel) and against terrorist cells in Afghanistan. The Obama presidency, on the other hand, has yet to prove itself in this way, and it is questionable if he would have been equally successful.

@Giovannuccia82 The people of Israel do not confuse the issue. The Bush family was very charismatic when projecting strength, what Obama seems to be lacking in. Do not forget that it was the senior Bush that led the world in a coalition against Iraqi forces that invaded Kuwait and threatened Israel. This will go down well on his record. The younger Bush led the free-world against terrorist cells in Afghanistan. This, too, is to his credit.

@Dovid2000 I agree with you that Bush family was better at projecting strength, and maybe dealing with foreign affairs. Though having lived in the US myself a few years, I'd say its time for some positive changes in the actual country itself, by upgrading the health care system for instance.

@Tortillaish Here, I totally agree with you. The time has come for Americans to get straight their own house. Rebuild roads, tear down derelict buildings, construct bridges and modernize the public transportation system. The U.S. is falling behind China in public transportion. Let Americans invest in their own country. Spend less on foreign wars; sell old aircraft to defray the cost of buying new ones. We need an America that is strong ECONOMICALLY. May God help and give the politicians wisdom.

@illyas1 I don't hate him , but he was not meant to be president. You people like him because he is so sociable and charming. He doesn't have a sound financial perspective , nor is he experienced in economics. That's why the unemployment rate is still high. He can put a band-aid on the problem , but he is not getting to the core issues. The problem didn't start with him , but it sure as hell ain't working under him either. Inflation will get so bad , that a loaf of bread will cost 10 dollars.

I'm not a fan of Obama at all, but I have to admit he may be one of the most charismatic presidents the US has ever had. It's good to see he actually spends time with the people of his own country. If only he listened to the majority of the people that DIDN'T want the health care reform over the few that did =/ I still don't like him though xD
